Conformational Flexibility of Choline Derivatives

Nature New Biology, 1971
CHOLINERGIC substrates have been found in a gauche conformation (G), skewed about the Cα–Cβ bond of the (CH3)3N+–CH2–CH2–O cholinic fragment in a number of crystal structures1–11. Sulphur and selenium isologues, on the other hand, with the (CH3)3N–CH2–CH2–(S,Se) group, are normally in the extended trans conformations (T)10,12,13.

Stochastic derivation of conformal anomaly

Physical Review D, 1988
The conformal anomaly of the scalar and fermion fields in the background gravitational field is derived, in the framework of stochastic quantization, as a breaking of the naive Leibnitz formula. This breaking represents quantum effects. It is also shown that anomalous Ward-Takahashi identities are derived from a stationary property of physical ...

Conformational studies on (+)-anatoxin-a and derivatives

Journal of Computer-Aided Molecular Design, 1992
Anatoxin-a (AnTX) is a highly potent agonist acting at the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (nAChR) and represents a valuable tool in the study of this receptor. Molecular mechanics, semi-empirical and ab initio molecular orbital energy minimization procedures were conducted to investigate the conformation of AnTX.

New exact solutions of Burgers’ type equations with conformable derivative

open access: yesWaves in Random and Complex Media, 2017
In this paper, the new exact solutions for some nonlinear partial differential equations are obtained within the newly established conformable derivative.

Conformational analysis of dipeptide‐derived polyisocyanides

Journal of Polymer Science Part A: Polymer Chemistry, 2003
AbstractThe conformational properties of polymers derived from isocyanodipeptides have been investigated with a combination of model calculations, X‐ray diffraction, and circular dichroism spectroscopy. Depending on the configuration of the side chains, defined arrays of hydrogen bonds along the polymeric backbone are formed.

Conformation of acyclic derivatives of sugars

Carbohydrate Research, 1969
Abstract The peracetylated diethyl dithioacetals of d -ribose, d -arabinose, d -xylose, d -lyxose, l -rhamnose, and l -fucose were studied in chloroform- d solution by n.m.r. spectroscopy at 100 MHz. Signals of all protons were assigned, assignments were verified by spin-decoupling, and first-order coupling-constants were determined.

The conformation of thietane derivatives

Tetrahedron, 1971
Abstract The dipole moments of thietane derivatives were measured by the solution method, using benzene as a solvent; by comparing the observed and calculated values of these dipole moments the conformations and bond moments were also determined. 2,2-Diphenyl-3,4-dicyanothietane and 2,2-diphenyl-3,4-dichlorothietane have the same configuration as ...

An Ahlfors Derivative for Conformal Immersions

The Journal of Geometric Analysis, 2013
The author firstly defines the Ahlfors derivative \(\mathcal{A}\) of a conformal immersion \(F:(M^m,g)\to (P^n,h)\) that is the symmetric covariant tensor field of order two in \(M\) defined by \[ \mathcal{A}F=\mathcal{H}\varphi+\frac 12F^\ast(k_h h)+F^\ast\left(\nu^P_{F(M)}\right)-\frac 12 k_g g, \] where \(\| DF\| =e^\varphi\), the operator ...

Aggregation and conformational studies on a pentapeptide derivative

Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Proteins and Proteomics, 2008
Most of the disease causing proteins such as beta amyloid, amylin, and huntingtin protein, which are natively disordered, readily form fibrils consisting of beta-sheet polymers. Though all amyloid fibrils are made up of beta-sheet polymers, not all peptides with predominant beta-sheet content in the native state develop into amyloid fibrils.

Conformation and Atropisomeric Properties of Indometacin Derivatives

Chemistry – A European Journal, 2013
AbstractThe stereochemistry around the N‐benzoylated indole moiety of indometacin was studied by restricting the rotation about the NC7′ and/or C7′C1′ bond. In the 2′,6′‐disubstituted ones, an atropisomeric property was found and the atropoisomers were separated and isolated as stable forms. Their biological abilities to inhibit cyclooxygenase‐1 (COX‐
