Comparative Conformations of Uridine and Pseudouridine and Their Derivatives

European Journal of Biochemistry, 1980
Stimulated by the suggestion that pseudouridine psi-39 in yeast tRNAPhe could be in a syn conformation [R. E. Hurd and B. R. Reid (1977) Nucleic Acid Research 4, 2747-2755], we have made a comparative study of the solution conformations of psi and U derivatives, using the proton-proton Overhauser effect.

Optical and Conformational Studies on Benzobisthiazole Derivatives

The Journal of Physical Chemistry B, 2010
2,6-Didodecyl-4,8-diphenyl-benzo[1,2-d;4,5-d']bisthiazole (3) and 2,6-didodecyl-4,8-dipyrrole-2-yl-benzo[1,2-d;4,5-d']bisthiazole (5) were synthesized, and their optical properties were investigated in solution and in the solid state. Compounds 3 and 5 were excited with the 325 nm He-Cd laser line to produce blue and green luminescence, respectively ...

Conformational and electronic effects in dehydroaminoacid derivatives

Journal of Molecular Structure, 1986
Abstract The electronic structure of the cyclic dipeptide of dehydrophenylalanine has been investigated by vapour-phase He(I) and He(II) UV photoelectron spectroscopy. Assignments are proposed by comparison with related molecules and supported by INDO/S calculations.

Conformational Interconversions of Amino Acid Derivatives

Journal of Chemical Theory and Computation, 2016
Exhaustive conformational interconversions including transition structure analyses of N-acetyl-l-glycine-N-methylamide as well as its alanine, serine, and cysteine analogues have been investigated at the MP2/6-31G** level, yielding a total of 142 transition states.

Conformal derivations of semidirect products of Lie conformal algebras and their conformal modules

Proceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 2014
Conformal derivations from Lie conformal algebras to their conformal modules are used to describe conformal derivations of Lie conformal algebras of semidirect product type.

Conformational analysis and the active conformation of N2-phenylguanine derivatives

Journal of Molecular Structure: THEOCHEM, 2000
Abstract A conformational analysis of four N 2 -phenyl-(substituted)-guanine (PHG) derivatives, which are herpes simplex virus thymidine kinase inhibitors (HSV TK), was performed mainly with the semiempirical AM1 method. Nonempirical (ab initio) HF and MP2 calculations were employed to refine some of the results obtained with the semiempirical ...

Conformation of monosaccharides and their derivatives

1997
Abstract The conformations of the oxane ring (tetrahydropyran) of pyranoses are the same as those of cyclohexane. The carbons are numbered starting with the hemiacetal carbon, referred to as anomeric. This convention is not in keeping with the rule for numbering heterocycles where number one is assigned to the heteroatom (in this case ...
