c-Recursion for multi-point superconformal blocks. NS sector

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2018
We develop a recursive approach to computing Neveu-Schwarz conformal blocks associated with n-punctured Riemann surfaces. This work generalizes the results of [1] obtained recently for the Virasoro algebra.

Ground states of holographic superconductors

open access: yes, 2009
We investigate the ground states of the Abelian Higgs model in AdS_4 with various choices of parameters, and with no deformations in the ultraviolet other than a chemical potential for the electric charge under the Abelian gauge field.

On the broken gauge, conformal and discrete symmetries in particle physics [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
Relationships between gauge, conformal and discrete symmetries in particle physics are analysed. We study also the effect of the electroweak mixing on the cancellation of SU(2) anomalous actions.

Elucidating the Role of Surface Ligands on the Oxidative Etching of Au Bipyramids During Photothermia Using Liquid Cell Transmission Electron Microscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Gold bipyramids can act as efficient plasmonic nanoheaters, but they often reshape during laser heating. This study shows that oxygen nanobubbles drive oxidative etching and that surface ligands control stability. CTAB‐ and citrate‐coated particles blunt and lose optical performance, whereas polystyrene sulfonate preserves shape and heating by ...

Dual‐Programmable Architected Magnetic Soft Materials: Tuning Mechano–Electric Responses by Inverse Design

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Materials that can deform, sense, and autonomously generate power in response to wireless magnetic fields, through both magnetic‐actuated shape transformation and charge generation, are an emerging focus in advanced functional materials research.

A spacetime derivation of the Lorentzian OPE inversion formula

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2018
Caron-Huot has recently given an interesting formula that determines OPE data in a conformal field theory in terms of a weighted integral of the four-point function over a Lorentzian region of cross-ratio space.

New Realisations of Minimal Models and the Structure of W-Strings

open access: yes, 1993
The quantization of a free boson whose momentum satisfies a cubic constraint leads to a $c=\ha$ conformal field theory with a BRST symmetry. The theory also has a $W_\infty $ symmetry in which all the generators except the stress-tensor are BRST-exact ...

Temperature‐Robust Interphase Enables Carboxylate‐Ester Electrolyte for Stabilizing High‐Voltage Sodium Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A synergistic electrolyte engineering strategy of employing ethyl acetate (EA) with vinylene carbonate (VC) as multifunctional additives is initially pioneered, making various as‐prepared high‐voltage wide‐temperature sodium batteries work well via the formation of a gradient and temperature‐robust interphase.

On the positive geometry of conformal field theory

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
It has long been clear that the conformal bootstrap is associated with a rich geometry. In this paper we undertake a systematic exploration of this geometric structure as an object of study in its own right. We study conformal blocks for the minimal SL(2,

Atomic Layer Deposition in Transistors and Monolithic 3D Integration

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Transistors are fundamental building blocks of modern electronics. This review summarizes recent progress in atomic layer deposition (ALD) for the synthesis of two‐dimensional (2D) metal oxides and transition‐metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs), with particular emphasis on their enabling role in monolithic three‐dimensional (M3D) integration for next ...
