Additive Manufacturing of Alumina‐Reinforced Elastomers

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Vat‐photopolymerized elastomers reinforced with platelet‐shaped alumina exhibited preferential orientation, reduced porosity, and significantly enhanced mechanical performance. A 3 wt% platelet loading increased tensile strength from 12.4 to 45.7 MPa, highlighting the critical role of filler morphology in elastomeric VPP composites.

Non-linear partial differential equations in conformal geometry

open access: yes, 2002
In the study of conformal geometry, the method of elliptic partial differential equations is playing an increasingly significant role. Since the solution of the Yamabe problem, a family of conformally covariant operators (for definition, see section 2) generalizing the conformal Laplacian, and their associated conformal invariants have been introduced.

A design tool for globally developable discrete architectural surfaces using Ricci flow

open access: yesJapan Architectural Review, 2023
This paper presents an approach for the design of discrete architectural surfaces that are globally developable; that is, having zero Gaussian curvature at every interior node.

OntOMat: Toward Ontology‐Based Product and Process Design Engineering and Optimization Solutions Fueling Circular Value Chains

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The OntOMat ontology establishes a structured framework for polymer matrix fiber reinforced composite materials, integrating manufacturing processes, characterization methods, and multiscale design through the VDI/VDE 3682 formalized process description standard.

Conformally invariant differential equations and projective geometry

open access: yesJournal of Functional Analysis, 1981
AbstractWe combine harmonic analysis on certain pseudo-Riemannian symmetric spaces with results on conformally invariant linear and non-linear differential equations. This gives in many cases part of the decomposition of certain representations of the conformal group of a manifold when restricted to the isometry group.

Conformal Dirichlet-Neumann Maps and Poincaré-Einstein Manifolds

open access: yesSymmetry, Integrability and Geometry: Methods and Applications, 2007
A conformal description of Poincaré-Einstein manifolds is developed: these structures are seen to be a special case of a natural weakening of the Einstein condition termed an almost Einstein structure.

Semantic Modeling in Materials Science and Engineering With Platform MaterialDigital Core Ontology 3.0

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The community‐driven Platform MaterialDigital Core Ontology (PMDco) 3.0 is introduced as a Basic Formal Ontology‐aligned semantic backbone for the processing–structure–properties paradigm in Materials Science and Engineering. Modular engineering, automated releases, and validation workflows are highlighted and key semantic patterns for materials ...

Superconformal quantum mechanics on Kähler cones

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2020
We consider supersymmetric quantum mechanics on a Kähler cone, regulated via a suitable resolution of the conical singularity. The unresolved space has a u(1, 1|2) superconformal symmetry and we propose the existence of an associated quantum mechanical ...
