The convexity package for Hamiltonian actions on conformal symplectic manifolds

open access: yes, 2019
Consider a Hamiltonian action of a compact connected Lie group on a conformal symplectic manifold. We prove a convexity theorem for the moment map under the assumption that the action is of Lee type, which establishes an analog of Kirwan's convexity ...

Sequences of harmonic maps in the 3-sphere

open access: yes, 2014
We define two transforms between non-conformal harmonic maps from a surface into the 3-sphere. With these transforms one can construct, from one such harmonic map, a sequence of harmonic maps.

Characterizing the salivary RNA landscape to identify potential diagnostic, prognostic, and follow‐up biomarkers for breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study explores salivary RNA for breast cancer (BC) diagnosis, prognosis, and follow‐up. High‐throughput RNA sequencing identified distinct salivary RNA signatures, including novel transcripts, that differentiate BC from healthy controls, characterize histological and molecular subtypes, and indicate lymph node involvement.

T[SU(N)] duality webs: mirror symmetry, spectral duality and gauge/CFT correspondences

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
We study various duality webs involving the 3d FT[SU(N)] theory, a close relative of the T[SU(N)] quiver tail. We first map the partition functions of FT[SU(N)] and its 3d spectral dual to a pair of spectral dual q-Toda conformal blocks. Then we show how

Foams in contact with solid boundaries: equilibrium conditions and conformal invariance

open access: yes, 2005
A liquid foam in contact with a solid surface forms a two-dimensional foam on the surface. We derive the equilibrium equations for this 2D foam when the solid surface is curved and smooth, generalising the standard case of flat Hele Shaw cells.

Investigating the cell of origin and novel molecular targets in Merkel cell carcinoma: a historic misnomer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study indicates that Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC) does not originate from Merkel cells, and identifies gene, protein & cellular expression of immune‐linked and neuroendocrine markers in primary and metastatic Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC) tumor samples, linked to Merkel cell polyomavirus (MCPyV) status, with enrichment of B‐cell and other immune cell

CONFORMAL MAPPING OF UNRUH TEMPERATURE [PDF]

open access: yesModern Physics Letters A, 2009
In the framework of conformal field theory, the mapping from (unbounded) wedge regions of Minkowski spacetime to (bounded) double-cone regions is extended to the Unruh temperature associated to a uniformly accelerated observer. The link between a previous result, the diamond's temperature, and the conformal factor (Weyl rescaling of the metric) is ...

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

Patient‐specific pharmacogenomics demonstrates xCT as predictive therapeutic target in colon cancer with possible implications in tumor connectivity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study integrates transcriptomic profiling of matched tumor and healthy tissues from 32 colorectal cancer patients with functional validation in patient‐derived organoids, revealing dysregulated metabolic programs driven by overexpressed xCT (SLC7A11) and SLC3A2, identifying an oncogenic cystine/glutamate transporter signature linked to ...

Integrability and holographic aspects of six-dimensional N = 1 , 0 $$ \mathcal{N}=\left(1,\ 0\right) $$ superconformal field theories

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
In the framework of six-dimensional conformal field theories with N = 1 , 0 $$ \mathcal{N}=\left(1,\ 0\right) $$ supersymmetry we develop the map between the holographic description, the field theoretical description and the associated Hanany-Witten set ...
