A Bioresorbable Neural Interface for On‐Demand Thermal Pain Block
Bioresorbable, implantable neural electronics provide dynamic, on‐demand thermal modulation of peripheral nerves for safe, drug‐free pain relief. A microscale thin‐film heater and temperature sensor embedded within biodegradable encapsulants enable precise temperature control via real‐time feedback.

Conformational spectra — probing protein conformational changes
Biophysical Chemistry, 1999Stafford [Biophys. J. 17 (1996) MP452] has shown that it is possible, using the analytical ultracentrifuge in sedimentation velocity mode, to calculate the molecular weights of proteins with a precision of approximately 5%, by fitting Gaussian distributions to g(s*) profiles so long as partial specific volume and the radial position of the meniscus are

Conformational changes in plastocyanin
Archives of Biochemistry and Biophysics, 1985The visible and near-uv absorption and circular dichroic spectra were determined for spinach and poplar plastocyanin under a variety of conditions. The visible spectra showed that the copper center was invariant to changes in species, chemical modification with ethylenediamine, and addition of high concentrations of salt [2.7 M (NH4)2SO4]. In contrast,

Mediator structure and conformation change
Molecular Cell, 2021Mediator is a universal adaptor for transcription control. It serves as an interface between gene-specific activator or repressor proteins and the general RNA polymerase II (pol II) transcription machinery. Previous structural studies revealed a relatively small part of Mediator and none of the gene activator-binding regions.

Dimeric nanocapsule induces conformational change
Chemical Communications, 2010An induced cis-trans-trans (rctt) chair to cone structural rearrangement is forced by the addition of a pentacoordinate zinc(II) complex, overcoming thermodynamic and kinetic factors to produce the first phenyl-substituted zinc dimeric nanocapsule.

Complement driven by conformational changes
Nature Reviews Immunology, 2008Complement in mammalian plasma recognizes pathogenic, immunogenic and apoptotic cell surfaces, promotes inflammatory responses and marks particles for cell lysis, phagocytosis and B-cell stimulation. At the heart of the complement system are two large proteins, complement component C3 and protease factor B.

Conformational Changes of Channelrhodopsin-2
Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2009Channelrhodopsin-2 (ChR2) is a member of the new class of light-gated ion channels which serve as phototaxis receptors in the green alga Chlamydomonas reinhardtii. The protein is employed in optogenetics where neural circuits are optically stimulated under high spatiotemporal control.

Conformational changes during kinesin motility
Current Opinion in Cell Biology, 2001Nucleotide-dependent movements of the head and neck of kinesin have been visualized by cryoelectron microscopy and have been inferred from single-molecule studies. Key predictions of the hand-over-hand model for dimeric kinesin have been confirmed, and a novel processivity mechanism for the one-headed, kinesin-related motor KIF1A has been discovered.
