Resolvin D5 Inhibits CXCL8 Expression in Colonic Epithelial Cells Through Activating GPR101 to Impede Neutrophil Recruitment and Consequently Alleviate Ulcerative Colitis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
RvD5 effectively alleviates UC by inhibiting STAT1 signaling to reduce CXCL8 expression in colonic epithelial cells via activation of GPR101, which subsequently decreases the infiltration of neutrophils in the colonic mucosal epithelium. Epimedin A1, a natural allosteric inhibitor of 5‐LOX, demonstrates potential as a therapeutic agent for UC by ...

Targeting the GPX4–FUNDC1 Interaction with Magnesium Lithospermate B Attenuates Sepsis‐Associated Lung Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The diagram depicts the endothelial‐protective mechanism of magnesium lithospermate B (MLB) in sepsis‐associated lung injury. MLB binds GPX4 at Gly79, disrupts its interaction with FUNDC1, prevents mitophagy‐mediated GPX4 degradation, restores mitophagic flux, reduces ROS, and limits ferroptosis.

Cytokine‐Engineered Chimeric Antigen Receptor‐T Cell Therapy: How to Balance the Efficacy and Toxicity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Cytokine‐engineered CAR‐T cells represent a promising immunotherapy against malignancies due to direct tumor killing and potent immunity response. However, significant toxicities, including CRS and ICANS, have restricted clinical applications. How to keep the risk‐benefit balance of the advanced therapy is of great importance for maximizing the benefit

Congestion Control Mechanism Based on Backpressure Feedback in Data Center Networks

open access: yesFuture Internet
In order to solve the congestion problem caused by the dramatic growth of traffic in data centers, many end-to-end congestion controls have been proposed to respond to congestion in one round-trip time (RTT).

Exploring the impact of a coordinated variable speed limit control on congestion distribution in freeway

open access: yesJournal of Traffic and Transportation Engineering (English ed. Online), 2015
Over the past few decades, urban freeway congestion has been highly recognized as a serious and worsening traffic problem in the world. To relieve freeway congestion, several active traffic and demand management (ATDM) methods have been developed.

Asymmetric Cu─N─Ru Bridgedsite Nanozyme‐Loaded Injectable Thermogel Boosts Cuproptosis‐Like Death for Multidrug‐Resistant Urinary Tract Infections

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
To address multidrug‐resistant urinary tract infections (MDR‐UTIs), we developed Cu‐ZIF8‐Ru nanozyme featuring an asymmetric Cu─N─Ru catalytic site. This unique structure enhances multienzyme‐mimetic activity, eradicating resistant bacteria by inducing a cuproptosis‐like death pathway through intracellular Cu2+ accumulation and energy depletion.

Analog Signal Summation for Reinforcement Learning via Simultaneous Light–Voltage Modulation in a Synaptic Device

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
To overcome limitations of conventional AI hardware, a light‐voltage dual‐modulating synaptic (LVDS) transistor using an IGZO/InAs quantum dot hybrid structure is proposed. LVDS transistor enables analog summation for Dueling Deep Q‐Networks by independently modulating memory via optical and electrical stimuli.

A robust congestion control scheme for cluster wireless multimedia sensor networks with propagation delay and external interference

open access: yesInternational Journal of Distributed Sensor Networks, 2016
Congestion control in cluster wireless multimedia sensor networks is capable of delivering and gathering multimedia information, while propagation delay and external interference may cause it unable to achieve the maximal network throughput without ...
