WIRE STRUCTURE IMAGE-BASED 3D RECONSTRUCTION AIDED BY DEEP LEARNING [PDF]
Objects and structures realized by connecting and bending wires are common in modern architecture, furniture design, metal sculpting, etc. The 3D reconstruction of such objects with traditional range- or image-based methods is very difficult and poses ...

Techniques of the differential subordination for domains bounded by conic sections
We solve the problem of finding the largest domain D for which, under given ψ and q, the differential subordination ψ(p(z),zp′(z))∈D⇒p(z)≺q(z), where D and q(𝒰) are regions bounded by conic sections, is satisfied.

Conical diffraction and the dispersion surface of hyperbolic metamaterials
Hyperbolic metamaterials are materials in which at least one principal dielectric constant is negative. We describe the refractive index surface, and the resulting refraction effects, for a biaxial hyperbolic metamaterial, with principal dielectric ...

Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

We construct regular multi-wormhole solutions to a gravitating $\sigma$ model in three space-time dimensions, and extend these solutions to cylindrical traversable wormholes in four and five dimensions.

Elliptic operators on manifolds with singularities and K-homology [PDF]
It is well known that elliptic operators on a smooth compact manifold are classified by K-homology. We prove that a similar classification is also valid for manifolds with simplest singularities: isolated conical points and fibered boundary.

Lessons Learned From a Delayed‐Start Trial of Modafinil for Freezing of Gait in Parkinson's Disease
ABSTRACT Objective Freezing of gait (FOG) in people with Parkinson's disease (PwPD) is debilitating and has limited treatments. Modafinil modulates beta/gamma band activity in the pedunculopontine nucleus (PPN), like PPN deep brain stimulation. We therefore tested the hypothesis that Modafinil would improve FOG in PwPD.

Non-adiabatic Quantum Dynamics of the Dissociative Charge Transfer He++H2 → He+H+H+
We present the non-adiabatic, conical-intersection quantum dynamics of the title collision where reactants and products are in the ground electronic states.
