Conjugate gradient algorithm and fractals
This work is an extension of the survey on Cayley's problem in case where the conjugate gradient method is used. We show that for certain values of parameters, this method produces beautiful fractal structures.

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

Single circulating tumor cells (sCTCs) from high‐grade serous ovarian cancer patients were enriched, imaged, and genomically profiled using WGA and NGS at different time points during treatment. sCTCs revealed enrichment of alterations in Chromosomes 2, 7, and 12 as well as persistent or emerging oncogenic CNAs, supporting sCTC identity.

Least-squares-based three-term conjugate gradient methods
In this paper, we first propose a new three-term conjugate gradient (CG) method, which is based on the least-squares technique, to determine the CG parameter, named LSTT.

The new spectral conjugate gradient method for large-scale unconstrained optimisation
The spectral conjugate gradient methods are very interesting and have been proved to be effective for strictly convex quadratic minimisation. In this paper, a new spectral conjugate gradient method is proposed to solve large-scale unconstrained ...

The PI3Kδ inhibitor roginolisib (IOA‐244) preserves T‐cell function and activity
Identification of novel PI3K inhibitors with limited immune‐related adverse effects is highly sought after. We found that roginolisib and idelalisib inhibit chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) cells and Treg suppressive functions to similar extents, but roginolisib affects cytotoxic T‐cell function and promotion of pro‐inflammatory T helper subsets to a

Pipelined Krylov subspace methods (also referred to as communication-hiding methods) have been proposed in the literature as a scalable alternative to classic Krylov subspace algorithms for iteratively computing the solution to a large linear system in ...

This work identified serum proteins associated with pancreatic epithelial neoplasms (PanINs) and early‐stage PDAC. Proteomics screens assessed genetically engineered mice with abundant PanINs, KPC mice (Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐KrasG12D/+ Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐Trp53R172H/+ Pdx1‐Cre) before PDAC development and also early‐stage PDAC patients (n = 31), compared to benign ...

Minimizing inner product data dependencies in conjugate gradient iteration [PDF]
The amount of concurrency available in conjugate gradient iteration is limited by the summations required in the inner product computations. The inner product of two vectors of length N requires time c log(N), if N or more processors are available.

Chebyshev semi-iteration in Preconditioning [PDF]
It is widely believed that Krylov subspace iterative methods are better than Chebyshev semi-iterative methods. When the solution of a linear system with a symmetric and positive definite coefficient matrix is required then the Conjugate Gradient method ...
