Preconditioned conjugate gradient method and generalized successive overrelaxation method for the least squares problems [PDF]
In a recent paper [4], Li et al. gave a generalized successive overrelaxation (GSOR) method for the least squares problems. In this paper, the connection between the GSOR method and the preconditioned conjugate gradient (PCG) method for the normal ...

An imperfect conjugate gradient algorithm [PDF]
summary:A new biorthogonalization algorithm is defined which does not depend on the step-size used. The algorithm is suggested so as to minimize the total error after $n$ steps if imperfect steps are used.

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

New hybrid conjugate gradient method for nonlinear optimization with application to image restoration problems [PDF]
summary:The conjugate gradient method is one of the most effective algorithm for unconstrained nonlinear optimization problems. This is due to the fact that it does not need a lot of storage memory and its simple structure properties, which motivate us ...

Enhancing Conjugate Gradient Method Through a Novel Investigation Parameter For Unconstrained Minimization [PDF]
Conjugate gradient algorithms come in a wide range of flavors. The conjugate gradient technique primarily concentrates on the spectral parameter. It follows the standard method proposed by Hastens and Stiefel, In this study, we have devised an innovative

The conjugate gradient method is one of the most popular methods to solve large-scale unconstrained optimization problems since it does not require the second derivative, such as Newton’s method or approximations.

This study reveals that the small GTPase Rab14 is necessary for human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and plays an essential role in the transport of virions to the trans‐Golgi network (TGN). HPV in the early endosome (EE), which harbors GTP‐bound Rab14, is transported to the TGN through the switch of Rab14 from its GTP‐bound to GDP‐bound form.

A Mixed Spectral CD-DY Conjugate Gradient Method
A mixed spectral CD-DY conjugate descent method for solving unconstrained optimization problems is proposed, which combines the advantages of the spectral conjugate gradient method, the CD method, and the DY method.

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...
