Class IIa HDACs forced degradation allows resensitization of oxaliplatin‐resistant FBXW7‐mutated colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
HDAC4 is degraded by the E3 ligase FBXW7. In colorectal cancer, FBXW7 mutations prevent HDAC4 degradation, leading to oxaliplatin resistance. Forced degradation of HDAC4 using a PROTAC compound restores drug sensitivity by resetting the super‐enhancer landscape, reprogramming the epigenetic state of FBXW7‐mutated cells to resemble oxaliplatin ...

Conjugate Heat Transfer in Diverging Microchannels [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
A numerical study has been carried out to determine the effects of axial wall conduction during single-phase steady laminar flow of fluid through rectangular diverging (across the length of the channel) cross-sectional microchannel involving conjugate ...

Low-Concentration Solar-Power Systems Based on Organic Rankine Cycles for Distributed-Scale Applications: Overview and Further Developments [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
This paper is concerned with the emergence and development of low-to-medium-grade thermal-energy-conversion systems for distributed power generation based on thermo- dynamic vapor-phase heat-engine cycles undergone by organic working uids, namely ...

Exploiting metabolic adaptations to overcome dabrafenib treatment resistance in melanoma cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that dabrafenib‐resistant melanoma cells undergo mitochondrial remodeling, leading to elevated respiration and ROS production balanced by stronger antioxidant defenses. This altered redox state promotes survival despite mitochondrial damage but renders resistant cells highly vulnerable to ROS‐inducing compounds such as PEITC, highlighting redox

CONJUGATE HEAT TRANSFER COMPUTATIONS VIA LATTICE BOLTZMANN METHOD

open access: yesHavacılık ve Uzay Teknolojileri Dergisi, 2017
We developed a lattice Boltzmann Method code that is able to solve conjugate heat transfer problems on graphical processing unit. The solver uses Cartesian meshes of D2Q9 lattices and solves transient heat equation on both fluid and solid regions at once

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

Investigation of the forced convection heat transfer in the presence of radiation in metal foams using HPM [PDF]

open access: yesمجله مدل سازی در مهندسی, 2016
Forced convection heat transfer in metal foams in the presence of radiation heat transfer is studied using the homotopy perturbation method (HPM). To see wall effects, Darcy-Brinkman model for the flow in porous media is used.

Infrared laser sampling of low volumes combined with shotgun lipidomics reveals lipid markers in palatine tonsil carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.
