Enhancing the Response Speed of Organic Electrochemical Transistors via Ion Liquid/Metal–Organic Framework‐Embedded Semiconducting Polymers

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials
Organic electrochemical transistors (OECTs) are recognized for their ability to combine electronic and ionic transport in the channel, resulting in improved transconductance and reduced operation voltage compared to organic field‐effect transistors ...

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

Effect of Peptide Derived from Scorpion Toxin on Enhanced Permeability of Doxorubicin Conjugated Gold Nanoparticles in HeLa and MDA-MB-231 Cells

open access: yesBihdād, 2020
Background: Cell penetrating peptides (CPPs) can enter a cell through the cell membrane, and used in the fields of drug delivery, gene therapy, and cancer therapy by their property transporting various molecules into cytoplasm.

Scaling behavior of the directed percolation universality class

open access: yes, 2005
In this work we consider five different lattice models which exhibit continuous phase transitions into absorbing states. By measuring certain universal functions, which characterize the steady state as well as the dynamical scaling behavior, we present ...

Commutativity of systems with their feedback conjugates [PDF]

open access: yesTransactions of the Institute of Measurement and Control, 2018
After introducing commutativity concept and summarizing the relevant literature, this work is focused on the commutativity of feedback conjugates. It is already known that a linear time-varying differential system describing a single input-single output dynamical system is always commutative with its constant gain feedback pairs.

Structural instability impairs function of the UDP‐xylose synthase 1 Ile181Asn variant associated with short‐stature genetic syndrome in humans

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

Nonlinear optical response from excitons in soliton lattice systems of doped conjugated polymers

open access: yes, 1995
Exciton effects on conjugated polymers are investigated in soliton lattice states. We use the Su-Schrieffer-Heeger model with long-range Coulomb interactions.

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Boosting Photocatalytic Performance of ZnO Nanowires via Building Heterojunction with Conjugated 2,4,6-Triaminopyrimidine-g-C3N4

open access: yesMolecules
Photocatalysis is one of the most effective ways to solve environmental problems by solving pollutants. This article designed and prepared a conjugated system of 2,4,6-triaminopyrimidine-g-C3N4 (TAP-CN) to modify ZnO NWs.
