Probabilistic entailment in the setting of coherence: The role of quasi conjunction and inclusion relation

open access: yes, 2013
In this paper, by adopting a coherence-based probabilistic approach to default reasoning, we focus the study on the logical operation of quasi conjunction and the Goodman-Nguyen inclusion relation for conditional events.

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

Noun juxtaposition for predication, possession, and conjunction: Beyond ambiguity avoidance

open access: yesLinguistic Typology at the Crossroads
This paper asks whether ambiguity avoidance influences the use of certain linguistic forms, using noun juxtaposition as a case study. Noun juxtaposition is one of the strategies for expressing predication, possession, and conjunction, and is widely used ...

Entrepreneurship and Economic Growth: An Obvious Conjunction? [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper consists of an introductory survey of two fundamental questions regarding the link between entrepreneurship and economic growth. The first one deals with the endogenous relationship between entrepreneurship and growth.

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Residual tail twisting in ascidian larvae is stabilized by asymmetric myofibrils that resist bilateral symmetry restoration

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...

Development of Synonymy of French Linguistic Terms (Case Study of F. de Saussure’s Terminological System)

open access: yesВестник Волгоградского государственного университета: Серия 2. Языкознание, 2015
The article deals with the features of synchronic and diachronic analysis of linguistic terminological synonymy in the French language on the inter-system and intra-system levels exemplified by Ferdinand de Saussure's terminological system.

Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...
