Development of Eco-Friendly Ramp Control for Connected and Automated Electric Vehicles [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
With on-board sensors such as camera, radar, and Lidar, connected and automated vehicles (CAVs) can sense the surrounding environment and be driven autonomously and safely by themselves without colliding into other objects on the road. CAVs are also able

Dual targeting of RET and SRC synergizes in RET fusion‐positive cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Despite the strong activity of selective RET tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), resistance of RET fusion‐positive (RET+) lung cancer and thyroid cancer frequently occurs and is mainly driven by RET‐independent bypass mechanisms. Son et al. show that SRC TKIs significantly inhibit PAK and AKT survival signaling and enhance the efficacy of RET TKIs in ...

Research on vibration reduction performance of dynamic vibration absorber based on damping characteristic of a new material

open access: yesAdvances in Mechanical Engineering, 2020
The absorbing effect of traditional dynamic vibration absorber (TDVA) is satisfactory only when the natural frequency is close to the excitation frequency.

PARP inhibition and pharmacological ascorbate demonstrate synergy in castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

An improved potentiometric method for the measurement of entropy coefficient of lithium-ion battery based on positive adjustment

open access: yesEnergy Reports, 2022
The entropy coefficient (dUOC/dT) is an important parameter for predicting the heat generation of lithium-ion batteries (LiBs), especially under low-rate conditions. The potentiometric method is generally used to measure the entropy coefficient, which is
