Linearization and connection coefficients of orthogonal polynomials [PDF]

open access: yesMonatshefte fr Mathematik, 1992
Let \(\{P_ n\}_{n=0}^ \infty\) be a system of orthogonal polynomials. R. Lasser observed that if the linearization coefficients of \(\{P_ n\}_{n=0}^ \infty\) are nonnegative then each of the \(P_ n\) is a linear combination of the Tchebyshev polynomials with nonnegative coefficients. The aim of this paper is to give a partial converse to this statement.

Normal‐Appearing White Matter Injury Mediates Chronic Deep Venous Hypoxia and Disease Progression in Multiple Sclerosis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To explore how cerebral hypoxia and Normal‐Appearing White Matter (NAWM) integrity affect MS lesion burden and clinical course. Methods Seventy‐nine MS patients, including 13 clinically isolated syndrome (CIS) patients and 66 relapsing–remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS) patients, and 44 healthy controls (HCs) were recruited from ...

Arithmetic Levi-Civita connection [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
This paper is part of a series of papers where an arithmetic analogue of classical differential geometry is being developed. In this arithmetic differential geometry functions are replaced by integer numbers, derivations are replaced by Fermat quotient ...

Elevated Connectivity During Language Processing Is Associated With Cognitive Performance in SeLECTS

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Self‐Limited Epilepsy with Centrotemporal Spikes (SeLECTS) is associated with language impairments despite seizures originating in the motor cortex, suggesting aberrant cross‐network interactions. Here we tested whether functional connectivity in SeLECTS during language tasks predicts language performance.

On the structure of connection coefficients for hypergeometric systems

open access: yesHiroshima Mathematical Journal, 1988
This paper is concerned with the connection problem for the so-called hypergeometric system \((tI-B)\dot X=AX,\) \(\dot X=dX/dt\), with t complex, and the linear system of difference equations \((B-\lambda I)(z+1)G(z+1)=(zI-A)G(z),\) where X stands for an n-dimensional column vector, A denotes a square matrix of order n, B is a diagonal matrix of order

On the arithmetic nature of coefficients of multiplicative eta-functions

open access: yesВестник Самарского университета: Естественнонаучная серия
In the article we study the arithmetic nature of the coefficients of multiplicative eta-products, also called McKay functions. For some functions it is possible to establish Hecke correspondence between the coefficients of McKay and Hecke grossen ...

Choroid Plexus Enlargement and USPIO‐Based Inflammatory Feature in Cerebral Small Vessel Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective The choroid plexus (CP) is a key component of the blood–cerebrospinal fluid barrier (BCSFB), but its mechanism of action in cerebral small vessel disease (CSVD) remains unclear. This study investigated CP volume (CPV) alterations and their association with conventional imaging markers in CSVD and explored the underlying role of ...

Memory and Resting‐State Connectivity in Acute Transient Global Amnesia: A Case–Control fMRI Study

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background and Objectives Transient global amnesia (TGA) is a striking model of isolated amnesia. While hippocampal lesions are well described, the network‐level mechanisms and the precise neuropsychological profile remain debated. Our objective was thus to characterize functional and neuropsychological correlates of acute TGA and their ...

The Enriquez connection for higher genus polylogarithms

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We study the variation of the Enriquez connection for higher genus polylogarithms under degenerations of Riemann surfaces with marked points, and show that this connection becomes the connection constructed by the author for degenerating families of ...

Quadratically Weighted Agreement Coefficients: Interpretations and Connections

open access: yesPsychometrika
Abstract In this study, we review interpretations and connections of chance-corrected agreement coefficients with quadratic weights, applicable when raters classify objects or subjects on an ordinal scale. Whereas correlation interpretations exist for coefficients with noninterchangeable raters, represented by Cohen’s two-rater and ...
