Connection theory on differentiable fibre bundles: A concise introduction
The paper contains a partial review on the general connection theory on differentiable fibre bundles. Particular attention is paid on (linear) connections on vector bundles.

GENERAL RELATIVITY AS A THEORY OF TWO CONNECTIONS [PDF]
We show in this paper that it is possible to formulate general relativity in a phase space coordinatized by two SO(3) connections. We analyze first the Husain-Kuchař model and find a two connection description for it. Introducing a suitable scalar constraint in this phase space we get a Hamiltonian formulation of gravity that is close to the one given

Pure Lorentz spin connection theories and uniqueness of general relativity [PDF]
Abstract General relativity (GR) can be reformulated as a diffeomorphism invariant gauge theory of the Lorentz group, with Lagrangian of the type f ( F ∧ F ), where F

One of Randall Collins' principal theoretical projects is the advancement of a general theory of violence. The central framing mechanism driving Collins approach is the concept of confrontational tension/fear, and the various pathways a social actor ...

Mathematical Structure of Loop Quantum Cosmology: Homogeneous Models
The mathematical structure of homogeneous loop quantum cosmology is analyzed, starting with and taking into account the general classification of homogeneous connections not restricted to be Abelian.

Quantum integrability from non-simply laced quiver gauge theory
We consider the compactifcation of 5d non-simply laced fractional quiver gauge theory constructed in [1]. In contrast to the simply laced quivers, here two Ω-background parameters play different roles, so that we can take two possible Nekrasov ...

Resurgent analysis for some 3-manifold invariants
We study resurgence for some 3-manifold invariants when G ℂ = SL(2, ℂ). We discuss the case of an infinite family of Seifert manifolds for general roots of unity and the case of the torus knot complement in S 3.

Hamiltonian formulations of quasilinear theory for magnetized plasmas
Hamiltonian formulations of quasilinear theory are presented for the cases of uniform and nonuniform magnetized plasmas. First, the standard quasilinear theory of Kennel and Engelmann (Kennel, Phys. Fluids, 1966, 9, 2377) is reviewed and reinterpreted in

A Systems Approach to Designing a Traffic Collision Avoidance Early Warning System [PDF]
This article examines and evaluates the systems view of the concept of the collision avoidance early warning system (will be referred to as "the early warning system" in all further instances) which uses traffic accident data and data mining algorithms ...

Einstein Gravity, Lagrange-Finsler Geometry, and Nonsymmetric Metrics
We formulate an approach to the geometry of Riemann-Cartan spaces provided with nonholonomic distributions defined by generic off-diagonal and nonsymmetric metrics inducing effective nonlinear and affine connections.
