An Analysis of the Lie Symmetry and Conservation Law of a Variable-Coefficient Generalized Calogero–Bogoyavlenskii–Schiff Equation in Nonlinear Optics and Plasma Physics

open access: yesMathematics
In this paper, the symmetries and conservation laws of a variable-coefficient generalized Calogero–Bogoyavlenskii–Schiff (vcGCBS) equation are investigated by modeling the propagation of long waves in nonlinear optics, fluid dynamics, and plasma physics.

Dose‐Dependent Reprogramming of Chromatin Accessibility by SOX4 Drives the Transcriptional Response to Iron Overload

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that iron overload triggers widespread chromatin compaction and transcriptional repression in human granulosa cells, recapitulating features of endometriosis. The epigenetic reprogramming is orchestrated by a TFEB‐SOX4‐SWI/SNF axis, with SOX4 acting as a central, dosage‐sensitive regulator.

Physics‐Embedded Neural Network: A Novel Approach to Design Polymeric Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Traditional black‐box models for polymer mechanics rely solely on data and lack physical interpretability. This work presents a physics‐embedded neural network (PENN) that integrates constitutive equations into machine learning. The approach ensures reliable stress predictions, provides interpretable parameters, and enables performance‐driven, inverse ...

Two-Field Integrable Evolutionary Systems of the Third Order and Their Differential Substitutions

open access: yesSymmetry, Integrability and Geometry: Methods and Applications, 2008
A list of forty third-order exactly integrable two-field evolutionary systems is presented. Differential substitutions connecting various systems from the list are found. It is proved that all the systems can be obtained from only two of them.

Nucleation Kinetics Reveals a Distinct Biological Function Space of Biomolecular Condensates

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study utilizes microfluidics to quantify the nucleation rates of dense liquid phases within dilute solutions and of the reverse process, in which dilute voids nucleate inside condensates. The interfacial tension is identified as the key determinant of both processes.

Surface Plasmon Enhanced Photoluminescence of Carbon Dots Formed In Situ on Silver Gratings

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Carbon emitters formed in situ on a silver grating via plasmonic catalysis yield enhanced spontaneous emission by preferential radiative decay into surface plasmons. Enhancement manifests as emission exhibiting characteristics of coherence (polarization, directionality), and accelerated lifetimes of ∼30 ps, yielding Purcell factors of ∼70.

Microstructure‐Resolved Modeling to Predicting and Regulating Lithium Plating‐Stripping Dynamics on Graphite Electrodes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The lithium plating reaction in graphite electrodes acts as a root cause for the accelerated degradation and the internal short circuits in lithium‐ion batteries. Here, an electrochemical model based on multi‐scale microstructural images was established to identify lithium plating‐stripping processes, thereby supporting the predictive outcomes

Expanding Newton Mechanics with Neutrosophy and Quadstage Method ──New Newton Mechanics Taking Law of Conservation of Energy as Unique Source Law [PDF]

open access: yesNeutrosophic Sets and Systems, 2014
Neutrosophy is a new branch of philosophy, and "Quad-stage" (Four stages) is the expansion of Hegel’s triad thesis, antithesis, synthesis of development.

Reinnervation of Muscle Targets Enhances the Separability of Motor Unit Signals Following Peripheral Nerve Transfers

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Injured or cut peripheral nerves can be surgically rerouted to reinnervate new muscle targets. This study demonstrates reinnervated muscles exhibit enhanced separability between individual motor unit signals, which can simplify signal recording and decomposition. These findings highlight the potential of reinnervated muscle to serve as a key biological
