A Compact Tunable Notch Filter With Wide Constant Absolute Bandwidth
IEEE Microwave and Wireless Components Letters, 2015A compact notch filter with a wide tunable frequency range is developed. This tunable filter is composed of two varactor-tuned resonators, shunted at input/output ports separately, and one quarter-wavelength transmission line connecting two varactor-tuned resonators.

Tunable S-band Elliptic Bandpass Filter With Constant Absolute Bandwidth
2021 IEEE 21st Annual Wireless and Microwave Technology Conference (WAMICON), 2021This paper presents a tunable bandpass filter in the S band. The proposed design cascades a 5th order elliptic low-pass filter (LPF) and a 5th order elliptical high-pass filter (HPF) to achieve the desired bandpass behavior. The absolute bandwidth of this design is determined by the resonance frequencies (transmission zeros) of the shunt series LC ...

Tunable bandpass filters with constant absolute bandwidth and high linearity
2012 International Conference on Microwave and Millimeter Wave Technology (ICMMT), 2012This paper presents a frequency-agile bandpass filter with constant absolute bandwidth and high linearity. The proposed resonator is composed of an open-ended transmission line with back-to-back varactor diodes loaded at one end. A novel mixed electric and magnetic coupling scheme is proposed to contorll the coupling coefficients in order to keep the ...

Compact Reconfigurable Dual-Band Bandpass Filter with Constant Absolute Bandwidth
2018 International Conference on Microwave and Millimeter Wave Technology (ICMMT), 2018A compact dual-band bandpass filter (BPF) based on stepped impedance resonator (SIR) and defected-feeding structure is investigated in this paper. The SIR with T-stub centrally loaded provides more degrees of freedom to adjust the dual-band resonant frequencies.

Corrugated Microstrip Coupled Lines for Constant Absolute Bandwidth Tunable Filters
IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 2010This paper presents corrugated coupled lines for miniaturized fixed and tunable microstrip bandpass filters. The novel approach uses microstrip corrugated coupled-line concept to synthesize a coupling coefficient, which maintains a nearly constant absolute bandwidth across the tuning range.

Reconfigurable bandpass filter with electric coupling and constant absolute bandwidth
Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2016This paper presents a reconfigurable bandpass filter (BPF) with constant absolute bandwidth (ABW). The structure is composed of a pair of novel half wavelength (λ/2) resonators with two center-tapped var actors. Frequency tuning is made possible by modifying the electrical length of the resonators with four varactors.

High-Selectivity Tunable Balanced Bandpass Filter With Constant Absolute Bandwidth
IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems II: Express Briefs, 2017This brief presents a new and effective approach for designing a high-selectivity tunable balanced bandpass filter (BPF) with constant absolute bandwidth (ABW). The filter is composed of two open-loop resonators with a pair of symmetrically loaded varactor diodes to obtain tunable responses.

A constant absolute bandwidth filter with dual independent tunable passbands
2014 IEEE International Wireless Symposium (IWS 2014), 2014This paper presents a novel procedure to the design of independent tunable dual-band bandpass filters with constant absolute 3-dB bandwidths. Only two bias voltages are required to control the locations of the passbands, respectively. Two kinds of dual-mode resonators are proposed to be selected while designing the passbands.

Design of dual‐band bandpass filter with constant absolute bandwidth
Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2014ABSTRACTA dual‐band bandpass filter using split‐ring resonators (SRRs) and defected ground structure (DGS) with constant absolute bandwidth is proposed in this article. The inner and outer SRRs are operated for respective passband. DGS is etched on the ground, which can control the coupling coefficient of the filter to maintain constant absolute ...

A planar vertically-integrated tunable filter/antenna with constant absolute bandwidth
2017 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium (IMS), 2017This paper presents a vertically-integrated second-order tunable planar filter/antenna that expands upon previous work with tunable filter/antennas. This work demonstrates the use of a radiating element as a resonator in the filter and uses mixed electric and magnetic coupling to achieve a constant absolute bandwidth over the filter tuning range ...
