Solid state phase transitions characterized by esr and xas [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
Measurements of the relaxation time, of electron systems to a disturbance, by two different spectroscopic methods are examined in detail, with the purpose to establish how the presence of fluctuations near a solid state phase transition are made evident

Predicting the Future Burden of Renal Replacement Therapy in Türkiye Using National Registry Data and Comparative Modeling Approaches

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Chronic kidney disease is a growing public health problem worldwide, and the number of patients requiring renal replacement therapy is steadily increasing. Türkiye has experienced a similar rise in both the incidence and prevalence of renal replacement therapy over the past decades; however, national‐level projections of future ...

Impedance detection of the electrical resistivity of the wound tissue around deep brain stimulation electrodes permits registration of the encapsulation process in a rat model

open access: yesJournal of Electrical Bioimpedance, 2017
An animal model of deep brain stimulation (DBS) was used in in vivo studies of the encapsulation process of custom-made platinum/iridium microelectrodes in the subthalamic nucleus of hemiparkinsonian rats via electrical impedance spectroscopy.

Effects of lead exposure on blood electrical impedance spectroscopy of mice

open access: yesBioMedical Engineering OnLine, 2021
Background Lead is a nonessential heavy metal, which can inhibit heme synthesis and has significant cytotoxic effects. Nevertheless, its effect on the electrical properties of red blood cells (RBCs) remains unclear.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Spin-Transfer-Torque Driven Magneto-Logic OR, AND and NOT Gates

open access: yes, 2013
We show that current induced magneto-logic gates like AND, OR and NOT can be designed with the simple architecture involving a single nano spin-valve pillar, as an extension of our recent work on spin-torque-driven magneto-logic universal gates, NAND and

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Synthesis and Optimization of Fractional-Order Elements Using a Genetic Algorithm

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
This study proposes a new approach for the optimization of phase and magnitude responses of fractional-order capacitive and inductive elements based on the mixed integer-order genetic algorithm (GA), over a bandwidth of four-decade, and operating up to 1

Analog Modeling of Fractional-Order Elements: A Classical Circuit Theory Approach

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
In this paper a comprehensive procedure for the analog modeling of Fractional-Order Elements (FOEs) is presented. Unlike most already proposed techniques, a standard approach from classical circuit theory is applied.

Effective dielectric constant of top grounded coplanar waveguide on liquid crystal superstrate [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
The effective dielectric constant of the top grounded coplanar waveguide with a liquid crystal (LC) superstrate for phase shifting applications is investigated in the frequency range of 30–60 GHz.
