YIPFα1A expression is regulated by multilayered molecular mechanisms

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
YIPFα1A, a five‐pass Golgi protein, is regulated at multiple layers. (1) Rare‐codon enrichment drives translation‐coupled mRNA decay. (2) A proximal 3′‐UTR element stabilizes mRNA. (3) A distal 3′‐UTR element included by alternate poly(A) site usage represses translation, which can be overridden by the proximal 3′‐UTR element.

Technical Design of a Low-Latitude Satellite Constellation for Ocean Observation with a Focus on Hainan Province, China

open access: yesSensors
Acquiring high-quality images from space at low-latitude areas is challenging due to the orbital requirements of the satellites and the frequent cloud coverage.

RAIM Algorithms Analysis for a Combined GPS/GALILEO Constellation

open access: yes, 2005
How far a user can rely on his navigation system is a central question for safety of life applications like air navigation especially in approach phases. For Oceanic, En route or Non Precision Approach phases, the integrity requirements as defined by

Molecular dynamics simulations of positively selected codons in FcγRI reveal novel biochemical binding properties

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Evolutionary analysis across 32 placental mammals identified positive selection at residues H148 and W149 in the immune receptor FcγR1. Ancestral reconstruction combined with molecular dynamics simulations reveals how these mutations may influence receptor structure and dynamics, providing insight into the evolution of antibody recognition and immune ...

Enumeration of Planar Constellations

open access: yesAdvances in Applied Mathematics, 2000
The enumeration of transitive ordered factorizations of a given permutation is a combinatorial problem related to singularity theory. Let $n\ge 1$, $m \ge 2$, and let $\si_0$ be a permutation of $\Sn_n$ having $d_i$ cycles of length $i$, for $i \ge 1$. We prove that the number of $m$-tuples $(\si_1, \ldots ,\si_m)$ of permutatinos of $\Sn_n$ such that:

Refinement of amino‐acid conformation vs. difference density maps in time‐resolved serial femtosecond crystallography data analysis

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The dFoCC pipeline starts with observed DED and resting‐state coordinates, which are then used to generate a library of triggered states. Correlation analysis of the calculated DED features of each candidate vs observed DED permits quantitative evaluation of candidate structural quality.

Noncoherent unitary space-time design base on Grassmann manifold

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2013
A novel search technique was presented for designing noncoherent unitary space-time constellation.First of all,a unitary matrix framework based on Grassmann manifold was defined.Under the constraint of this framework,a dis-tance threshold was set by ...

The crystal structure of the Borrelia burgdorferi nicotinamidase BBE22 resolves a long‐standing annotation error

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The crystal structure of Borrelia burgdorferi nicotinamidase (PncA/BBE22) reveals the correct full‐length protein initiated from a non‐canonical AUU start codon. The structure validates previous biochemical findings and resolves a long‐standing annotation error, demonstrating that the truncated database sequence is structurally incompatible with the ...
