Novel Constellation Design Tool: A Framework for Asymmetric Constellation Design

2022
This paper addresses the problem of optimization of earth orbit space vehicle constellations balancing access over specified earth regions subject to constraints on the constituent members’ orbital elements. Whereas symmetric constellations such as Walker Delta Parameter Constellations are often a convenient starting point for system trade studies, the

Designing in "constellations"

Proceedings of the 14th Participatory Design Conference: Short Papers, Interactive Exhibitions, Workshops - Volume 2, 2016
Sustaining participation in design is difficult, especially in neighborhoods that seek change consistent with their cultural values. Participatory Design offers several approaches (e.g. infrastructuring) that help to balance the sensibilities of urban planning with the immediacies of design.

The RADARSAT constellation payload design

2007 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, 2007
The Canadian Space Agency completed the definition phase of the RADARSAT Constellation, a constellation of three satellites that will ensure C-band data continuity with RADARSAT-2. The first satellite is scheduled to enter in operation toward the end of the RADARSAT-2 mission, for a full implementation of the constellation in 2014-15.

The Skybridge Constellation Design

17th AIAA International Communications Satellite Systems Conference and Exhibit, 1998
The SkyBridge space segment, based upon Low Earth Orbit satellites, had to face a challenge: though using the same frequency band as various geostationary systems in order to profit by well-proven and cost-efficient techniques — i.e. Ku Band -, SkyBridge satellites must not in any way interfere with geostationary satellites.
