Joint Coding Design based on CSK and FSM

open access: yesGuangtongxin yanjiu, 2021
In the Visible Light Communication (VLC) system based on circle Color Shift Keying (CSK) modulation constellation, the bit error rate performance is poorer under certain number of modulation order.

Analog Network-Coded Modulation With Maximum Euclidean Distance: Mapping Criterion and Constellation Design

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2017
Physical-layer network coding holds the great potential of improving the power efficiency and the spectral efficiency for the two-stage transmission scheme. The first stage is the multiple access stage, where two source nodes (SN1 and SN2) simultaneously

Designing Good Multi-Dimensional Constellations [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Wireless Communications Letters, 2012
In this letter we consider the design of multi-dimensional compact constellations that minimize the average symbol energy for a given minimum Euclidian distance between constellation points. We formulate the constellation design as a non-convex quadratically constrained quadratic programming. We propose a simple and efficient optimization method, which

Cross-Domain Fusion Constellation Design of Communication, Navigation and Remote Sensing

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2023
Low earth orbit (LEO) mega-constellations have once again triggered a wave of space-based system construction. On the one hand, LEO communication, LEO navigation, LEO remote sensing constellations and so on are proposed.

On the Design of Super Constellations

open access: yesIEEE Open Journal of the Communications Society
In the evolving landscape of sixth-generation (6G) wireless networks, which demand ultra high data rates, this study introduces the concept of super constellation communications. Also, we present super amplitude phase shift keying (SAPSK), an innovative modulation technique designed to achieve these ultra high data rate demands.

Design of flower constellations using necklaces

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems, 2014
This paper introduces a new approach in the design of optimal satellite constellations comprising few satellites and characterized by symmetric distribution. Typical examples are missions requiring persistent observation of sites or regions for intelligence or science. To minimize the number of satellites, the mathematical necklace theory is applied to

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.
