Inducible MLSB resistance (iMLSB) cannot be identified by standard methods of antibiotic susceptibility testing. D-test appears to be a reliable indicator of iMLSB strains.

Lippia umbellata Cav.: Chemical Composition, Insecticidal, and Antimicrobial Activities

Hexane extracts of Lippia umbellata leaves and flowers contain lupenone, α‐amyrin, and hentriacontane. They exhibit insecticidal activity against Drosophila melanogaster and inhibit AChE in vitro and in silico. Furthermore, the extracts can inhibit the growth of medically important bacteria and yeasts, including multidrug‐resistant strains.
