The importance of mean free path in determining gas flow behaviour [PDF]
We investigate whether a power-law form of probability distribution function better describes the free paths of dilute gas molecules in a confined system.

Constitutive modeling of Ti-2.7Cu alloy based on strain compensation and PSO-BP neural network
The isothermal compression tests of Ti-2.7Cu alloy were tested to study the hot deformation behavior in temperature range of 740-890℃ and strain rate range of 0.001-10s-1 on a Gleeble-3500 thermomechanical simulator.

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

A Constitutive Equation for High Temperature Flow [PDF]
A constitutive equation which describes the behavior of strain rate sensitive materials which do not strain harden significantly is often required in the solution of various problems involving metal flow.

Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...

On dilatational plastic constitutive equation of ductile materials and plastic loading paths at bifurcation [PDF]
The dilatational plastic constitutive equation presented in this paper is proved to be in a form of generality. Based on this equation, the constitutive behaviour of materials at the moment of bifurcation is demonstrated to follow a loading path with ...

This study reveals that the small GTPase Rab14 is necessary for human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and plays an essential role in the transport of virions to the trans‐Golgi network (TGN). HPV in the early endosome (EE), which harbors GTP‐bound Rab14, is transported to the TGN through the switch of Rab14 from its GTP‐bound to GDP‐bound form.
