Linear semidefinite programming problems: regularisation and strong dual formulations
Regularisation consists in reducing a given optimisation problem to an equivalent form where certain regularity conditions, which guarantee the strong duality, are fulfilled.

Lagrange-type duality in DC programming problems with equivalent DC inequalities
In this paper, we provide Lagrange-type duality theorems for mathematical programming problems with DC objective and constraint functions. The class of problems to which Lagrange-type duality theorems can be applied is broader than the class in the ...

RDFS(c) Schema Inconsistency Checking Based on a Key Instance and Its Query Rewriting
The introduction of a constraint mechanism to the resource description framework schema (RDFS) poses challenges for keeping RDFS ontologies consistent, particularly in the presence of reasoning rules (RRs).

ABSTRACT Background Wilms tumor (WT) treatment imposes a significant time burden on patients and their families. Time toxicity is a patient‐centered metric that quantifies the burden of healthcare interaction. We sought to define time toxicity in the first year after diagnosis of WT and hypothesized that it would increase as tumor stage and treatment ...

ABSTRACT Background Therapeutic apheresis (TA) is an established treatment modality for hematologic, neurologic, and immunologic disorders, yet access remains severely limited in sub‐Saharan Africa. Donor apheresis, including platelet apheresis collection from healthy donors, represents an important complementary modality supporting blood product ...

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Human resources management simulation in the IT-labor market
The article developed a mathematical model of personnel management, taking into account the specifics of the activities of IT companies. The relevance of this study is due to the fact that the tasks of personnel management are subjective.

Optimality and Constraint Qualifications in Vector Optimization [PDF]
We propose a unifying approach in deriving constraint qualifications and theorem of the alternative. We first introduce a separation theorem between a subspace and the non-positive orthant, and then we use it to derive a new constraint qualification for a smooth vector optimization problem with inequality constraints.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.
