Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Hard or soft: Planning on medium size construction projects [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
Some data suggest that the approach to planning in construction seeks to impose a managed future on construction work by providing plans which are strictly time scheduled and produced by initially identifying those activities which are critical to the ...

CSNS Project Construction

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Conference Series, 2018
The China Spallation Neutron Source (CSNS) is designed to accelerate proton beam pulses to 1.6GeV at 25Hz repetition rate, striking on a solid metal target to produce spallation neutrons for neutron scattering experiment with 20 spectrometers. The accelerator provides a beam power of 100kW for the target in the first phase and then 500kW in the second ...
