ABSTRACT In this study, hydrothermal treatment conditions for quinoa flour were optimized using response surface methodology, evaluating conditioning time (6–12 h) and drying temperature (50–90°C) against key quality attributes, namely, swelling power and peak viscosity as swelling/expansion indexes, breakdown viscosity as a thermomechanical stability ...

Endosperm : nutritive tissue for embryo : I : endosperm as the result of double fertizlization in angiosperms (Angiospermeae) [PDF]
A review is given on advances in endosperm research in angiosperms. Endosperm is a very important nutritive tissue for the developing embryo. In sexually reproducing angiosperms endosperm develops as a consequence of double fertilization when one of male

ABSTRACT Understanding the effects of high temperatures and water deficit on germination provides valuable insights into seed stress tolerance, guiding the use of native seeds in ecological restoration. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of (1) temperature peaks and (2) water stress treatments and post‐stress recovery on the germination of some ...

ABSTRACT Deterioration in the appearance quality of brown rice due to heat‐stress‐induced ripening damage is a severe agricultural problem exacerbated by global warming. Five rice (Oryza sativa L.) cultivars differing in their tolerance to heat‐stress‐induced ripening (‘Fukei 227,’ ‘Fusaotome,’ ‘Komanomai,’ ‘Sasanishiki,’ and ‘Hatsuboshi’) were used to

SUMMARY Ribosome assembly, a fundamental process for cellular functions, requires the precise processing of precursor rRNA (pre‐rRNA) into mature rRNAs, a transformation guided by ribosome biogenesis factors (RBFs). While this process is well characterized in yeast and mammals, the roles of RBFs in pre‐rRNA processing in plants remain poorly understood.

Endosperm Culture of Coconut [PDF]
The growth and differentiation of endosperm tissue of coconut cv. Samoan Dwarf in vitro were described. Endosperm tissues produced callus profusely without any enclosing embryo. Explants formed callus three weeks after culture.
