Contextualized information-centric home network

ACM SIGCOMM Computer Communication Review, 2013
We deploy information-centric networks (ICN) to serve several applications including content distribution, vehicle-to-vehicle communication (V2V), home networks (homenet), and sensor networks. These applications require policy and context-based interaction between service producers and consumers.

Production-Contextual Clinical Information

2013
There is a widespread health informatics vision of unlimited exchange, understanding and reuse of clinical information. However, it has also been pointed out that to understand clinical information it is to some extent necessary to know the circumstances of its production - the production-contextual clinical information.

Including Contextual Information

2012
In all of the previous chapters, we have assumed, perhaps implicitly, that understanding high-dimensional spaces was something that happened in isolation, and only once for each particular dataset. Nothing could be further from the truth. The process of exploring and understanding a dataset is always iterative, and the results of each round, and the ...

Timestamping Entities using Contextual Information

Proceedings of the 40th International ACM SIGIR Conference on Research and Development in Information Retrieval, 2017
Wikipedia is the result of collaborative effort aiming to represent human knowledge and to make it accessible to the public. Many Wikipedia articles however lack key metadata information. For example, relatively large number of people described in Wikipedia have no information on their birth and death dates.

Contextual Information in Image Thresholding

2019
In this chapter, an alternative to the traditional thresholding of images is presented for segmentation. Most threshold-based segmentation procedures use the histogram of the image as the only source of information to partition the image; although this approach perform well on most scenarios, it only relies on the intensity of the pixels while ignoring

Contextualizing consumer health information searching

Proceedings of the 1st ACM International Health Informatics Symposium, 2010
The existing research on consumer health information searching has focused on types of information that users need concerning a particular disease and their querying behavior in general search engines. The context of health information searching, such as people's goals, motivations, and emotions, has received comparatively little attention.

Hiding contextual information in WSNs

2012 IEEE International Symposium on a World of Wireless, Mobile and Multimedia Networks (WoWMoM), 2012
We address the problem of preserving the confidentiality of contextual information in wireless sensor networks (WSNs). Such information includes the time and location of events observed by the WSN, the position of the sink, and possible routes to the sink. Contextual information can be extracted via traffic analysis, even when all traffic is encrypted.

Ontology Integration with Contextual Information

Proceedings of the 6th International Conference on Agents and Artificial Intelligence, 2014
An ontology repository is an infrastructure for storing, accessing, searching and managing ontologies. These ontologies can be used for generating context rules to improve ontology integration. A context rule contains conditions for identifying a context.
