New partial skeleton of Homo habilis from the upper Burgi Member, Koobi Fora Formation, Ileret, Kenya

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, Volume 309, Issue 3, Page 485-545, March 2026.
Abstract KNM‐ER 64061 is a partial skeleton from the upper Burgi Member of the Koobi Fora Formation (2.02–2.06 Ma) associated taphonomically and geochemically with a nearly complete mandibular dentition (KNM‐ER 64060) attributed to Homo habilis.

Postoperative Adjuvant Chemoradiotherapy ± PD‐1 Inhibitor for Locally Advanced Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma

open access: yesCancer Reports, Volume 9, Issue 3, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Postsurgical immunotherapy for patients with locally advanced head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) remains elusive. This study assesses the value and significance of postoperative immunotherapy in the treatment of locally advanced HNSCC.

Overlapping sets of priors and the existence of efficient allocations and equilibria for risk measures [PDF]

open access: yes
The overlapping expectations and the collective absence of arbitrage conditions introduced in the economic literature to insure existence of Pareto optima and equilibria with short-selling when investors have a single belief about future returns, is ...

Primary Productivity and Habitat Depth Shape Developmental Mode in European Marine Gastropods

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 3, March 2026.
Thorson's rule suggests that marine gastropods in colder, high‐latitude regions tend to have non‐pelagic (non‐drifting) larval development. However, this study on 94 European gastropod species found that the rule disappears when examined at finer spatial scales, with temperature and phylogeny having little influence.

Stereoscopic Brightness Roll‐Off in Augmented Reality

open access: yesJournal of the Society for Information Display, Volume 34, Issue 3, Page 85-98, March 2026.
The increasing demand for power‐efficient immersive augmented reality (AR) displays has led to a growing need for effective power‐saving strategies. Here, the authors investigate for the first time the stereoscopic effectiveness of brightness roll‐off (BRO) for perceptually‐optimized power savings in AR.

Edible Heritage, Enduring Brands: The Role of Culinary Experiences in Destination Engagement

open access: yesInternational Journal of Tourism Research, Volume 28, Issue 2, March/April 2026.
ABSTRACT This study explores how multidimensional culinary heritage experiences (CHEs) influence tourists' engagement with destination brands. Drawing on the stimulus‐organism‐response framework and social identity theory, the research examines the serial mediation of cultural uniqueness, cultural pride, and cultural identity, with perceived ...

Mid‐Infrared Integrated Photonics: Material Platforms and Emerging Applications

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, Volume 20, Issue 6, 18 March 2026.
Mid‐infrared (MIR) integrated photonics enables advanced chemical and biological sensing through the unique absorption features of molecules in the 2–20 µm range. This review highlights recent material advances such as chalcogenide glasses, silicon, and graphene and explores MIR applications in environmental monitoring, medical diagnostics ...

Overlapping risk adjusted sets of priors and the existence of efficient allocations and equilibria with short-selling [PDF]

open access: yes
The theory of existence of equilibrium with short-selling is reconsidered under risk and ambiguity modelled by risk averse variational preferences. A sufficient condition for existence of efficient allocations is that the relative interiors of the risk ...

Dynamic Retinal Pathology in Glaucoma Progression Revealed by High‐Resolution Functional Imaging In Vivo

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, Volume 20, Issue 5, 6 March 2026.
In this work, we investigated the dynamic retinal pathology of glaucoma from onset to late stages through longitudinal in vivo high‐resolution imaging in a silicone oil‐induced ocular hypertension (SOHU) glaucoma mouse model. We developed an optimized adaptive optics two‐photon excitation fluorescence microscopy (AO‐TPEFM) technique for morphological ...
