β‐Adrenergic Signaling Promotes Anti‐Tumor Immunity in TP53‐mutant Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma
β‐adrenergic stimulation enhances anti‐tumor immunity in TP53‐deficient oral squamous cell carcinoma by inducing tumor‐derived secretion of CXCL10, which attracts and activates cytotoxic CD8+ T cells. The findings demonstrate that β‐adrenergic signaling alters tumor–immune interactions via CXCL10‐mediated paracrine activation, revealing a neuro‐immune ...

VALIDATING CONTINGENT VALUATION WITH SURVEYS OF EXPERTS [PDF]
Contingent-valuation estimates for white-water boating passengers are compared with Likert ratings by river guides. The approach involves asking whether passengers and their guides ordinally rank alternative flows the same.

Skeleton‐oriented object segmentation (SKOOTS) introduces a new strategy for 3D mitochondrial instance segmentation by predicting explicit skeletons rather than relying on boundary cues. This approach enables robust analysis of densely packed organelles in large FIB‐SEM datasets.

Generalized Estimation Methods for Non-i.i.d. Binary Data: An Application to Dichotomous Choice Contingent Valuation [PDF]
We challenge the assumption of i.i.d random utility across alternatives embedded in typical applications of logit models to dichotomous choice contingent valuation data.

Global Nitrogen Deposition Promotes Carbon Sink Formation in Terrestrial Ecosystems
Nitrogen deposition alleviates ecosystem N limitation and enhances carbon sinks. Using 829 observations, we show 36% of deposited N is retained globally (39.15 Tg N yr−1), with distinct NHx and NOy contributions. This retention drives a terrestrial C sink of 0.88 Pg C yr−1 (25.48%), highlighting the importance of pool‐specific C:N stoichiometry ...

The "more is less" phenomenon in Contingent and Inferred valuation [PDF]
2011) using the Contingent valuation (CV) as well as the Inferred valuation (IV) method (Lusk and Norwood 2009b). We find that when moving in the context of a familiar market for consumers (i.e., the food market) we only observe weak effects of ...

This study demonstrates that transcription factor androgen receptor (AR) directly binds the LF promoter, driving lactoferrin overexpression to promote ferritin (FTH1/FTL) upregulation and inhibit p53‐ALOX12‐mediated ferroptosis in prostate cancer. Lactoferrin could be a new potential therapeutic target in prostate cancer.
