Continuous-Time Dynkin Games with Mixed Strategies

SIAM Journal on Control and Optimization, 2002
Summary: Let \((X,Y,Z)\) be a triple of payoff processes defining a Dynkin game \[ \widetilde R(\sigma,\tau) = E[ X_\sigma \mathbf{1}_{\{\tau>\sigma\}} +Y_\tau \text\textbf{1}_ ...

Multimarket contact in continuous-time games

Economics Letters, 2008
Abstract This paper investigates whether multimarket contact is effective in increasing the value of collusion. We show that for any discount rate, the set of equilibrium payoffs (average per market) expands through multimarket contact in continuous-time games.

Continuous-Time Games with Imperfect and Abrupt Information

Review of Economic Studies, 2023
Abstract This paper studies two-player games in continuous time with imperfect public monitoring, in which information may arrive both gradually and continuously, governed by a Brownian motion, and abruptly and discontinuously, according to Poisson processes.

Coordination Games in Continuous Time

SSRN Electronic Journal, 2019
This paper studies the impact of continuous time interaction on two iconic coordination games: stag hunt and battle of the sexes in a laboratory environment and compare results to possible theoretical explanations. Experimental results show that subjects consistently coordinate better in continuous time than in discrete time under various treatment ...

Extensive Form Games in Continuous Time: Pure Strategies

Econometrica, 1989
We propose a new framework for games in continuous time that conforms as closely as possible to the conventional discrete-time framework. In this paper, we take the view that continuous time can be viewed as "discrete time, but with a grid that is infinitely fine." Specifically, we define a class of continuous-time strategies with the following ...

Game Theoretic continuous time Differential Dynamic Programming

2015 American Control Conference (ACC), 2015
In this work, we derive a Game Theoretic Differential Dynamic Programming (GT-DDP) algorithm in continuous time. We provide a set of backward differential equations for the value function expansion without assuming closeness of the initial nominal control to the optimal control solution, and derive the update law for the controls.
