A General Norm on Extension of a Hilbert’s Type Linear Operator

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Extension, 2010
The main purpose of this paper is to study a general norm on extension of a Hilbert’s type linear operator in the continuous and discrete form. In addition to expressing the norm of a Hilbert’s type linear operator T : L 2 (0,∞) → L 2 (0,∞), a ...

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Outlook Work as an Extension Activity [PDF]

open access: yes
The purpose of this statement is to present in outline form what may be considered to be the "outlook job" of the Extension Service, (1) providing a continuous outlook information service, (2) developing a better understanding of the outlook, and (3 ...

Going beyond the borders : field-of-view extension in MR/PET hybrid imaging [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
The recent combination of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Positron Emission Tomography (PET) is of emerging interest in clinical routine. On the one hand, MRI is a widely-used diagnostic tool in medical practice.

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Cell‐cycle‐specific lesion evolution rather than inhibition of double‐strand‐break repair underpins cisplatin radiosensitization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Validating plans with continuous effects

open access: yes, 2003
A critical element in the use of PDDL2.1, the modelling language developed for the International Planning Competition series, has been the common understanding of the semantics of the language.

Longitudinal dispersion and soliton in carbyne incorporating initial extension

open access: yesAIP Advances
We provide a modified Boussinesq equation to model the longitudinal motion of a linear monatomic carbon chain (carbyne). The modified model is achieved by applying the continuous approach to the force field that induces the initial extension and the bond

A Retrospective Survey Comparing Suture Techniques Regarding the Risk of Permanent Epicardial Pacemaker Implantation After Ventricular Septal Defect Closure

open access: yesBrazilian Journal of Cardiovascular Surgery
Objective: The aim of this study is to compare the continuous and combined suturing techniques in regards to the needing epicardial pacing at the time of weaning from cardiopulmonary bypass (EP-CPB) and to evaluate permanent epicardial pacemaker (PEP ...
