Pancreas, Muscle, and Subcutaneous Fat Atrophy in Patients Undergoing Radiation for Neuroblastoma
ABSTRACT Background/Objectives Radiation therapy (RT) is part of standard‐of‐care therapy in high‐risk neuroblastoma (HR‐NBL) but can significantly affect nearby tissue. The objectives of this study were (1) to characterize changes in pancreas volume after RT and (2) to characterize changes in body composition, including body weight percentile ...

Contra $beta^{*}$-continuous and almost contra $beta^{*}$-continuous functions [PDF]
The notion of contra continuous functions was introduced and investigated by Dontchev. In this paper, we apply the notion of $beta^{*}$-closed sets in topological space to present and study a new class of functions called contra $beta^{*}$-continuous and

Noether's Theorem for Control Problems on Time Scales [PDF]
We prove a generalization of Noether's theorem for optimal control problems defined on time scales. Particularly, our results can be used for discrete-time, quantum, and continuous-time optimal control problems.

A versatile method is described for the practical computation of the discrete Fourier transforms (DFT) of a continuous function $g(t)$ given by its values $g_{j}$ at the points of a uniform grid $F_{N}$ generated by conjugacy classes of elements of ...

Generalized Derivative and Generalized Continuity
Abstract The main objective of this article is to show that generalized differentiation can be understood as a process of comparing functions and their generalized continuity properties. We show it by working with generalized notions of derivative and continuity. The article covers wide range of types of generalized continuity.

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

Continual Unsupervised Generative Modeling
Variational Autoencoders (VAEs), can achieve remarkable results in single tasks learning of data representations, image generation, and image-to-image translation among others. However, VAEs suffer from loss of information when aiming to continuously learn a sequence of different data domains.

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

The CTRW in finance: Direct and inverse problems with some generalizations and extensions
We study financial distributions within the framework of the continuous time random walk (CTRW). We review earlier approaches and present new results related to overnight effects as well as the generalization of the formalism which embodies a non ...

Generalized continuous frames for operators
Summary: In this note, the notion of generalized continuous \(K\)-frame in a Hilbert space is defined. Examples have been given to exhibit the existence of generalized continuous \(K\)-frames. A necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of a generalized continuous \(K\)-frame in terms of its frame operator is obtained and a characterization ...
