COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

Devising a Corporate Facility Location Strategy to Maximize Shareholder Wealth [PDF]
Location decisions should consider all related impacts upon a firm’s shareholder wealth. Overall, firm cost savings available at alternative locations need to be carefully examined in addition to a location’s impact on corporate sales revenues.

Primal-dual variable neighborhood search for the simple plant-location problem
Copyright @ 2007 INFORMSThe variable neighborhood search metaheuristic is applied to the primal simple plant-location problem and to a reduced dual obtained by exploiting the complementary slackness conditions.

Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

"Non-minimaxity of Linear Combinations of Restricted Location Estimators and Related Problems" [PDF]
The estimation of a linear combination of several restricted location parameters is addressed from a decision-theoretic point of view. The corresponding linear combination of the best location equivariant and the unrestricted unbiased estimators is ...

Processing continuous range queries with spatiotemporal tolerance [PDF]
Continuous queries are often employed to monitor the locations of mobile objects (MOs), which are determined by sensing devices like GPS receivers. In this paper, we tackle two challenges in processing continuous range queries (CRQs): coping with data ...

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

Intelligent Location Models for Next Generation Location-based Services
To become truly ubiquitous, next generation location-based services (LBS) will have to rely on mobile platforms upon which multiple sensors and measurement systems have been integrated to provide continuous, three-dimensional positioning and orientation.

We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...
