We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Space-Time Coded Systems using Continuous Phase Modulation [PDF]
We develop space-time trellis coded (STC) schemes using continuous-phase modulation (CPM). We employ the Rimoldi model of CPM to create a decomposed model of STC-CPM. The decomposition separates the coding from the modulation. The space-time encoding and

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...

On Spectrally Efficient Continuous Phase Modulation [PDF]
Spectrally efficient partial response continuous phase modulation (CPM)for wireless links is considered. Continuous phase modulation defines constantenvelope phase codes, which are advantageous when using non-linear amplifiers. The channel is an additive ...

Dormant cancer cells can hide in distant organs for years, evading treatment and the immune system. This review highlights how signals from the surrounding tissue and immune environment keep these cells inactive or trigger their reawakening. Understanding these mechanisms may help develop therapies to eliminate or control dormant cells and prevent ...

Design and Implementation of a Multi-Mode Telemetry Transmitter
In space applications, the required levels of performance and reliability drive up hardware costs. Reducing the efforts related to device development and validation may help balance the budget.

Both cg12821679MAPRE3 methylation and MAPRE3 expression are significantly associated with overall survival (OS) of non‐small cell lung cancer. Meanwhile, MAPRE3 expression significantly modified the effect of smoking cessation on OS. Smoking cessation benefits OS merely for patients with high MAPRE3 expression.

The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Continuous Phase Modulation Using Integer Modulation Index [PDF]
