Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Punctured Continuous Phase Modulation Codes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
(Continuous Phase Modulation CPM ...

Multiuser Continuous Phase Modulation over Rayleigh Fading [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
We study multiuser continuous phase modulation (CPM) communication over quasi-static Rayleigh fading channels, and derive an optimum symbol-by-symbol multiuser detector. According to the numerical results for different CPM schemes, the multiuser detector

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

An Iterative Interference Canceller for Serially Concatenated Continuous Phase Modulation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
— It is well known that continuous phase modulation (CPM) serially concatenated with convolutional codes facilitates powerful error correction. CPM also has the advantage of being bandwidth efficient and compatible with non-linear amplifiers.

E2A selectively regulates TGF‐β–induced apoptosis in KRAS‐mutant non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Ability to induce apoptosis by TGF‐β is frequently lost in advanced lung adenocarcinoma despite intact TGF‐β signaling. We identify E2A as a mutant KRAS–dependent mediator of resistance to TGF‐β–induced apoptosis. TGF‐β induces E2A via SMAD3 in mutant KRAS cells, and E2A silencing restores apoptosis and enhances radiation response in cell lines ...

Compression and broadening of phase-conjugate pulses in photorefractive self-pumped phase conjugator [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
Pulse propagation and shaping are investigated in photorefractive self-pumped phase conjugators in both transmission- and reflection-grating regimes. The dispersion properties of self-pumped phase conjugators are analyzed by taking into account both the ...

Asymptotic Security of Continuous-Variable Quantum Key Distribution with a Discrete Modulation

open access: yesPhysical Review X, 2019
We establish a lower bound on the asymptotic secret key rate of continuous-variable quantum key distribution with a discrete modulation of coherent states.
