経口避妊薬の肝発癌性,並びに発生した肝腫瘍のホルモン依存性を検索する目的で以下の研究を行った.生後4週齢のWistar/JCL雌ラットに硬性胃ゾンデを用いて毎日強制的に1年間にわたり下記の薬剤を1日1回投与した.I群:ethinylestradiol 0.075mg+norethindrone acetate 6mg in 0.5ml olive oil, II群:I群の倍量.III群・IV群:I群及びII群の対照としてolive oilのみをそれぞれ0.5mlまたは1.0ml.薬剤投与終了の時点で,対照としたIII群及びIV群では全く腫瘍の発生を認めなかったが,I群:38匹中6匹(15.8%),II群:27匹中6匹(22.2%)に高分化型肝細胞癌の発生を認めた.ついでホルモンの投与を中止したところ,
