Development of human monoclonal antibodies against TARM1 by yeast display
Human monoclonal antibodies against TARM1 are generated by yeast display‐guided selection. These antibodies bind to soluble and cell‐surface forms of TARM1. Also, these antibodies exhibit agonistic activity in the NFAT‐GFP reporter assay, indicating that TARM1 signaling can be functionally modulated by antibodies and suggesting TARM1 as a potential ...

A unified optimal control framework: time-optimal control and stochastic optimal control
In this paper, we propose a unified stochastic optimal control framework that integrates time-optimal control problems with classical stochastic optimal control formulations. Unlike conventional deterministic time-optimal control models, our approach incorporates a generalized stochastic control structure subject to minimum-time constraints.

Multivariable norm optimal iterative learning control with auxiliary optimization
The paper describes a substantial extension of Norm Optimal Iterative Learning Control (NOILC) that permits tracking of a class of finite dimensional reference signals whilst simultaneously converging to the solution of a constrained quadratic ...

Control and Optimization of Batch Processes
A batch process is characterized by the repetition of time-varying operations of finite duration. Due to the repetition, there are two independent “time” variables, namely, the run time during a batch and the batch counter.

This study investigated a novel WST‐8‐based assay for evaluating d‐Amino acid oxidase (DAO) inhibitors. We confirmed its effectiveness using known inhibitors and found that uremic toxins possess relatively weak inhibitory activity compared to existing drugs.

A Multi-Criteria Non-Linear Optimization Model for the Control and Management of a Tropical Fishery
One of the principal problems when dealing with fishery resource management is to estimate strategies that satisfy biological, economic and social objectives simultaneously.

This study explores the feasibility of expressing the antitumoral protein Amblyomin‐X through a suicide gene therapy approach and investigates its intracellular fate after gene delivery. Although the gene is efficiently expressed, melanoma cells rapidly degrade the Amblyomin‐X protein via proteasome activity.

The coordination of signal programs at adjacent intersections offers many advantages, the most important being that travel times and emissions can be reduced. However, coordination is a multivariate optimization problem with many constraints.

Rapid screening of staphylokinase protein variants using an unpurified cell‐free expression system
An unpurified cell‐free protein synthesis (CFPS) platform enables rapid functional screening of staphylokinase variants. Direct plasminogen‐activation assays performed in microplate format provide real‐time activity readouts, allowing rapid identification and ranking of variants with improved or reduced fibrinolytic activity without protein ...

A fuzzy approach to building thermal systems optimization. [PDF]
Optimization of building thermal systems is treated in the paper in the framework of fuzzy mathematical programming. This new approach allows to formulate more precisely the problem which compromises energy saving and thermal comfort satisfaction under ...
