Virtual Cell and Metabolic Control Analysis: Control Coefficients for Glycolytic Flux Are Highly Dependent on the Subsystem Selected for Analysis [PDF]

open access: yesLife
The metabolic control analysis (MCA) was applied to several subsystems selected from the model of human erythrocyte energy metabolism. These subsystems represent varying degrees of simplification of energy metabolism, from the simplest subsystem of the ...

Adaptive Nonlinear Controller for Quadrotor Altitude Control with Online Control Coefficients Function

open access: yesMajlesi Journal of Electrical Engineering, 2023
In this paper, an adaptive controller is presented to control a quadrotor, whose parameters are extracted from the genetic algorithm optimization method.

Summation Laws in Control of Biochemical Systems

open access: yesMathematics, 2023
Dynamic variables in the non-equilibrium systems of life are determined by catalytic activities. These relate to the expression of the genome. The extent to which such a variable depends on the catalytic activity defined by a gene has become more and ...

Adaptive control for manipulators with unknown virtual control coefficients and input nonlinearities

open access: yesIET Control Theory & Applications, 2022
This paper addresses the adaptive control problem for a one‐link manipulator system driven by a motor with uncertain virtual control coefficients (VCCs) and nonlinearities. The unknown VCCs are composed by the certain and uncertain items, where the first

Complex-coefficient systems in control [PDF]

open access: yes2017 American Control Conference (ACC), 2017
Complex-valued dynamics can be used for modeling rotationally invariant two-input two-output systems and bandpass systems when they are considered in the baseband. In a few instances, control design has been done in the complex domain, which facilitated analysis and synthesis.

Time–Optimal Control of Linear Fractional Systems with Variable Coefficients

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science, 2021
Linear systems described by fractional differential equations (FDEs) with variable coefficients involving Riemann–Liouville and Caputo derivatives are examined in the paper.

Coefficient Control of Variational Inequalities

open access: yes, 2023
Within this chapter, we discuss control in the coefficients of an obstacle problem. Utilizing tools from H-convergence, we show existence of optimal solutions. First order necessary optimality conditions are obtained after deriving directional differentiability of the coefficient to solution mapping for the obstacle problem.

The derivation and interpretation of control coefficients [PDF]

open access: yesBiochemical Journal, 1987
1. Equations for control coefficients are derived by using a method that generates all the control coefficients for a system in a single procedure. This requires solving fewer simultaneous equations than an equivalent method based on ‘control theorems’. 2.

Control and Regulation of Substrate Selection in Cytoplasmic and Mitochondrial Catabolic Networks. A Systems Biology Analysis

open access: yesFrontiers in Physiology, 2019
Appropriate substrate selection between fats and glucose is associated with the success of interventions that maintain health such as exercise or caloric restriction, or with the severity of diseases such as diabetes or other metabolic disorders ...

Defining control coefficients in non-ideal metabolic pathways [PDF]

open access: yesBiophysical Chemistry, 1995
The extent to which an enzyme controls a flux has been defined as the effect on that flux of a small modulation of the activity of that enzyme divided by the magnitude of the modulation. We here show that in pathways with metabolic channelling or high enzyme concentrations and conserved moieties involving both enzymic and non-enzymic species, this ...
