Terminal synergetic control based cheetah optimizer for knee-exoskeleton systems [PDF]
The knee-exoskeleton is mechanical devices which are designed to help people rehabilitate impaired limb mobility and replace the use of physiotherapists. The scope of this study is rehabilitation assistance for the lower limb (i.e. knee of the leg).

A survey on security control and attack detection for industrial cyber-physical systems
Cyber-physical systems (CPSs), which are an integration of computation, networking, and physical processes, play an increasingly important role in critical infrastructure, government and everyday life.

Septin 9 polybasic domains couple phosphoinositide‐rich membrane binding to centrosome positioning, Golgi organization, and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity. Their loss disrupts this axis, causing centrosome mispositioning, Golgi fragmentation, reduced microtubule acetylation, and polarity inversion via upregulation of the ...

This study reveals that the small GTPase Rab14 is necessary for human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and plays an essential role in the transport of virions to the trans‐Golgi network (TGN). HPV in the early endosome (EE), which harbors GTP‐bound Rab14, is transported to the TGN through the switch of Rab14 from its GTP‐bound to GDP‐bound form.

Discretisation method and stability criteria for non-linear systems under discrete-time time delay control [PDF]
Time delay control (TDC) for non-linear systems has rapidly drawn attention as a result of its unusually robust performance and yet its extraordinarily compact form. In many real applications, TDC has been implemented digitally and the time delay, λ, was

This paper aims to find the best variant of Cuckoo Search Algorithm that makes the step size of Lévy flight adaptive. For this reason, we introduce a new variant of CSA called Damped Cuckoo Search (DCS) in which the step size of Lévy ...

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

Supervisory control of multilevel discrete-event systems with a bus structure [PDF]
High-tech systems often contain a few components with many dependencies across the system, acting as system-level integrating components. In a hierarchical system decomposition, such so-called bus components tend to be placed in the top node.
