Frequency Response Analysis of Buck-Boost Inverter

open access: yesMìkrosistemi, Elektronìka ta Akustika, 2019
The paper deals with processes analysis in inverter circuits. These processes are described by differential equations with periodical coefficients. Since control signals and voltages operating in an inverter circuit are independent theirs frequencies are

The cooperative regulation of miR‐221 by APE1 and AUF1 impacts p27Kip1 defining a miR signature relevant for cervical cancer

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
A regulatory axis involving APE1, AUF1, and miR‐221 is proposed. Pri‐miR‐221 is processed by DROSHA and DICER to generate mature miR‐221, which targets p27Kip1 mRNA. APE1 and AUF1 compete for pre‐miR‐221 binding. Reduced APE1/AUF1 levels impair miR‐221 biogenesis, decrease p27Kip1 mRNA degradation, and promote cell cycle progression, chemoresistance ...

Embedding the radial basis function neural network based PID controller in a microcontroller for controlling the cart's position in real-time [PDF]

open access: yesFME Transactions
Proportional integral derivative (PID) is a classic conventional controller and widely utilized in industry. However, its coefficients are normally chosen by using empirical methods.

A light‐triggered Time‐Resolved X‐ray Solution Scattering (TR‐XSS) workflow with application to protein conformational dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

Experimental investigation of spillover effect in system of active vibration control [PDF]

open access: yesFME Transactions, 2014
Piezoelectric actuators are widely used in structural systems for active vibration control with the aim to enhance the performance of systems. The developed system of active vibration control consists of active structure, controller and high voltage ...

Chameleon sequences reveal structural effects in proteins representing micelle‐like distribution of hydrophobicity

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Amino acids sequence of two different proteins with the same sequence (chameleon sequence—black boxes) represent in 3D structure of the proteins different secondary structures: HHHH—helical and BBB—Beta‐structural. The chains folded in water environment adopt different III‐order structures in which the chameleon fragments appear to adopt similar status

Identification of the Interaction Coefficients in an Intraspecific Competition Model with Diffusion Terms

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics
In this paper, we are interested in identifying the coefficients of the interaction terms in a parabolic system, which describes two subpopulations of the same species competing for the same resources.

Nonlinear control of power coefficients in wind turbines

open access: yes, 2019
Wind speed above rated value causes high power and generator over speed. This leads to overloading and breakdown of the generator. As a result, control is required to maintain the desired generated electrical power. Many papers use the blade pitch angle, which is highly non-linear as control input to achieve this goal.

Exon 7 splicing of ERα predicts poor prognosis and increases phenotypic heterogeneity in luminal a subtype breast cancer

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
ERα splice variant ERα∆7 lacks the C‐terminus, and its expression may change phenotypes of breast cancers. Our results showed that ERα∆7 is found in the luminal A subtype, and elevated ERα∆7 levels are linked to improved cell survival with lower proliferation and migration.
