Electron transfer between complexes III and IV in S. cerevisiae mitochondrial membranes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation in S. cerevisiae mitoplasts is limited by complex IV catalytic capacity, rather than two‐dimensional cytochrome c diffusion. At physiological cytochrome c : supercomplex ratios at salinity equivalent to that of 20 mm monovalent salt, activity is maximized, indicating that this low ionic strength accurately mimics

Fuzzy predictive control strategy of permanent magnet linear synchronous motor

open access: yesJournal of Hebei University of Science and Technology, 2020
In order to solve the problem that the actual current cannot closely follow the given current or the predicted output voltage fluctuates too much due to the unreasonable selection of the weight coefficient when the model predictive control seeks the ...

Defining control coefficients in non-ideal metabolic pathways [PDF]

open access: yesBiophysical Chemistry, 1995
The extent to which an enzyme controls a flux has been defined as the effect on that flux of a small modulation of the activity of that enzyme divided by the magnitude of the modulation. We here show that in pathways with metabolic channelling or high enzyme concentrations and conserved moieties involving both enzymic and non-enzymic species, this ...

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Control of a Segway with unknown control coefficient and input constraint

open access: yesThe International Journal of Fuzzy Logic and Intelligent Systems, 2016
This paper proposes a control method of the Segway with unknown control coefficient and input saturation. To design a simple controller for the Segway with the model uncertainty, the prescribed performance function is used. Furthermore, an auxiliary variable is introduced to deal with unknown time-varying control coefficient and input saturation ...

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Pre‐analytical optimization of cell‐free DNA and extracellular vesicle‐derived DNA for mutation detection in liquid biopsies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

A new error analysis for finite element methods for elliptic Neumann boundary control problems with pointwise control constraints

open access: yesResults in Applied Mathematics
We present a new error analysis for finite element methods for a linear-quadratic elliptic optimal control problem with Neumann boundary control and pointwise control constraints. It can be applied to standard finite element methods when the coefficients

Real time DSP-based adaptive controller implementation for 6/4 pole switched reluctance motor drive [PDF]

open access: yesSongklanakarin Journal of Science and Technology (SJST), 2005
This paper presents the design and implementation of an adaptive PID control system for a high performance Switched Reluctance Motor (SRM) drive. The concept behind the proposed control system is to use an adaptive PID controller in steady state as well ...
