Analysis and design of oscillatory control systems
IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 2003This paper presents analysis and design results for control systems subject to oscillatory inputs, i.e., inputs of large amplitude and high frequency. The key analysis results are a series expansion characterizing the averaged system and various Lie-algebraic conditions that guarantee the series can be summed.

An analysis of optimal control system algorithms
Proceedings of the December 5-7, 1972, fall joint computer conference, part I on - AFIPS '72 (Fall, part I), 1972Currently, there are methods available which were derived in the field of computer science to analyze and evaluate algorithms implemented in computer programs. The subject of this paper will involve a combination of three of these methods with a rather rigorous simulation of three invariant imbedding algorithms in a manner strictly slanted toward their

Frequency Analysis of the Thirst Control System
Nature, 1971DRINKING is essential for the homeostasis of body fluids, and a theoretical structure which makes the principles and details of homeostasis explicit is provided by control theory. A control model of thirst has been described by Oatley1,2 and simulated on a digital computer3.

Multimodel analysis and control of multivariable systems
2001 IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man and Cybernetics. e-Systems and e-Man for Cybernetics in Cyberspace (Cat.No.01CH37236), 2002The use of the multimodel approach in the modeling, analysis and control of nonlinear complex and/or ill-defined systems was advocated by many researchers. This approach supposes the definition of a set of local models valid in a given region or domain.

Structural analysis of robust control systems
IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 2002In this paper, a necessary and sufficient condition for well-posedness is presented using the inclusion condition of uncertainty, and a set of all the systems corresponding to the uncertainty with which a closed-loop system is well-posed is given. Furthermore, we analyze the topology of the set of systems based on the well-posedness property.

Analysis and description of automatic control system
Annual Review in Automatic Programming, 1980Abstract A physical system is regarded as a set of processes designed to perform functions on streams (fluxes) of various products (materials, energy, information, etc…). Fluxes and processes are not consistently assimilable to entities expressible in a programming language, even a high-level language. New notions must be introduced.

Uncertainty Analysis of Weather Controlled Systems
2009The indoor climate of many storage facilities for agricultural produce is controlled by mixing ambient air with the air flow through the store room. Hence, the indoor climate is affected by the ambient weather conditions. Given hourly fluctuating energy tariffs, weather forecasts over some days are required to effectively anticipate. Hence, typically a

Electrokinetically Controlled Microfluidic Analysis Systems
Annual Review of Biophysics and Biomolecular Structure, 2000▪ Abstract Electrokinetic forces are emerging as a powerful means to drive microfluidic systems with flow channel cross-sectional dimensions in the tens of micrometers and flow rates in the nanoliter per second range. These systems provide many advantages such as improved analysis speed, improved reproducibility, greatly reduced reagent consumption ...

Passive Analysis and Control for Descriptor Systems
2010In this paper, passive analysis and control are discussed for descriptor systems. By means of linear matrix inequality (LMI), the conditions for the system to be admissible and passive with dissipation η are proposed in the cases of state feedback control and observer-based feedback control.
