SAFETY ANALYSIS FOR A PIPELINE CONTROL SYSTEM
IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1987Abstract Computers and microprocessors are penetrating into safety relevant areas. The problem of proving their safety and reliability is becoming increasingly important, particularly for software. Various quality assurance methods for hard and software are outlined. Using a pipeline control system as an example, the practicability of such methods is

Risk analysis in access control systems
2010 Eighth International Conference on Privacy, Security and Trust, 2010Commonly known access control systems respond to users' requests to perform actions on protected objects by giving binary answers such as permit or deny. The decisions are taken on the basis of access control policies, where the risk of allowing access is not necessarily taken into explicit consideration.

Analysis and design of impulsive control systems
IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 2001The authors consider the problem of impulsive control based on the theory of impulsive differential equations. Some sufficient conditions are derived to ensure the asymptotic stability of an impulsive differential system with impulses at fixed times. The result is also applied to design an impulsive control for a class of nonlinear systems.

Stability analysis of fuzzy control systems
Proceedings of ANZIIS '94 - Australian New Zealnd Intelligent Information Systems Conference, 1996A discrete-time fuzzy control system which is composed of a dynamic fuzzy model and a fuzzy state feedback controller is proposed. Stability of the fuzzy control system is discussed and a sufficient condition to guarantee the stability of the system is given in terms of uncertain linear system theory.

Formal Stability Analysis of Control Systems
2019Stability of a control system ensures that its output is under control and thus is the most important characteristic of control systems. Stability is characterized by the roots of the characteristic equation of the given control system in the complex-domain.

Analysis of requirements for critical control systems
International Journal of Critical Infrastructure Protection, 2012Abstract The use of modern information and communications technologies in supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems used in the critical infrastructure has become an important topic of research. The modernization significantly enhances operational performance, but also introduces security issues and the associated risks.

Control-Flow Analysis and Type Systems
1994We establish a series of equivalences between type systems and control-flow analyses. Specifically, we take four type systems from the literature (involving simple types, subtypes and recursion) and conservatively extend them to reason about control-flow information.

Modeling a system controller for timing analysis
Proceedings of the 6th ACM & IEEE International conference on Embedded software - EMSOFT '06, 2006Upper bounds on worst-case execution times, which are commonly called WCET, are a prerequisite for validating the temporal correctness of tasks in a real-time system. Due to the execution history sensitive behavior of components like caches, pipelines, buffers and periphery, the static determi-nation of safe upper execution-time bounds is a challenging
