Multi-Robot Leader Grouping Consistent Formation Control Method Research with Low Convergence Time Based on Nonholonomic Constraints

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2022
Aiming at the formation and maintenance of the multiple formations of nonholonomic constrained multi-robots, a leader-follower formation control method under the grouping consistency is proposed on the trajectory tracking of a nonholonomic constrained ...

Efficient implementation of LMS adaptive filter-based FECG extraction on an FPGA

open access: yesHealthcare Technology Letters, 2020
In this Letter, the field programmable gate array (FPGA) implementation of a foetal heart rate (FHR) monitoring system is presented. The system comprises a preprocessing unit to remove various types of noise, followed by a foetal electrocardiogram (FECG)

Combining transient dynamics and logistic‐asymptotic growth to study the recovery of two seabird populations after rat eradication

open access: yesPopulation Ecology, EarlyView.
This study examines the demographic dynamics of two seabird populations on Tromelin Island, 15 years after the eradication of brown rats. The results indicate that these populations are in good health and are expected to continue growing until breeding sites are saturated in about a century.

A note on statistical convergence on time scale [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2012
In the present paper, we will give some new notions, such as Δ-convergence and Δ-Cauchy, by using the Δ-density and investigate their relations. It is important to say that the results presented in this work generalize some of the results mentioned in the theory of statistical convergence.

The immunological interface: dendritic cells as key regulators in metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatotic liver disease

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) affects nearly one‐third of the global population and poses a significant risk of progression to cirrhosis or liver cancer. Here, we discuss the roles of hepatic dendritic cell subtypes in MASLD, highlighting their distinct contributions to disease initiation and progression, and their ...

Making tau amyloid models in vitro: a crucial and underestimated challenge

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This review highlights the challenges of producing in vitro amyloid assemblies of the tau protein. We review how accurately the existing protocols mimic tau deposits found in the brain of patients affected with tauopathies. We discuss the important properties that should be considered when forming amyloids and the benchmarks that should be used to ...

Refining the NaV1.7 pharmacophore of a class of venom‐derived peptide inhibitors via a combination of in silico screening and rational engineering

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Venom peptides have shown promise in treating pain. Our study uses computer screening to identify a peptide that targets a sodium channel (NaV1.7) linked to chronic pain. We produced the peptide in the laboratory and refined its design, advancing the search for innovative pain therapies.

The power of microRNA regulation—insights into immunity and metabolism

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
MicroRNAs are emerging as crucial regulators at the intersection of metabolism and immunity. This review examines how miRNAs coordinate glucose and lipid metabolism while simultaneously modulating T‐cell development and immune responses. Moreover, it highlights how cutting‐edge artificial intelligence applications can identify miRNA biomarkers ...

Opinion Formation over Signed Gossip Networks

open access: yesSICE Journal of Control, Measurement, and System Integration, 2017
Opinion formation is investigated over signed gossip networks, where asymptotic and transient opinion behaviors are analyzed in detail. The network is modeled by a connected signed graph, where each edge of the graph has positive or negative weight, i.e.,
