Drastic Improvement in Carrier Lifetime (>50 ms) and Stability of Poly‐Si‐Passivated n‐Type Cz‐Si Wafers by a Simple Belt‐Line Furnace Annealing Step

TOPCon‐like passivated lifetime samples are fabricated and fast fired in a belt‐line furnace. This high‐temperature firing has two effects: (a) Immediate lifetime reduction and (b) bulk‐related LeTID and surface‐related SRD under illumination and increased temperature appear. Annealing at 400–500 °C avoids all of these.
