Direct measurements and analysis of skin friction and cooling downstream of multiple flush-slot injection into a turbulent Mach 6 boundary layer [PDF]
Experiments were conducted to determine the reduction in surface skin friction and the effectiveness of surface cooling downstream of one to four successive flush slots injecting cold air at an angle of 10 deg into a turbulent Mach 6 boundary layer. Data

Simulation and experimental study of double holes film cooling [PDF]
In the modern gas turbine, film cooling has been widely used to provide thermal protection for the external surface of the gas turbine blades. Numerous number of geometrical arrangement film cooling have been presented for the past 50 years.

Numerical study of effusion cooling on an adiabatic flat plate
The present study aims to investigate the effectiveness of effusion film cooling on an adiabatic flat plate. Cylindrical holes of 30° inclination are used for supplying cold air to the hot primary flow. A non-dimensional parameter called the film cooling

Chemistry and cooling in metal-free and metal-poor gas
I summarize four of the most important areas of uncertainty in the study of the chemistry and cooling of gas with zero or very low metallicity. These are: i) the importance and effects of HD cooling in primordial gas; ii) the importance of metal-line and

Collisional interaction limits between dark matters and baryons in `cooling flow' clusters
Presuming weak collisional interactions to exchange the kinetic energy between dark matter and baryonic matter in a galaxy cluster, we re-examine the effectiveness of this process in several `cooling flow' galaxy clusters using available X-ray ...
