Energy-Efficient Communication over the Unsynchronized Gaussian Diamond Network
Communication networks are often designed and analyzed assuming tight synchronization among nodes. However, in applications that require communication in the energy-efficient regime of low signal-to-noise ratios, establishing tight synchronization among ...

Mechanisms of parasite‐mediated disruption of brain vessels
Parasites can affect the blood vessels of the brain, often causing serious neurological problems. This review explains how different parasites interact with and disrupt these vessels, what this means for brain health, and why these processes matter. Understanding these mechanisms may help us develop better ways to prevent or treat brain infections in ...

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

Controlled Power Cooperative Non Orthogonal Multiple Access Relay Networks
Recent work related to cooperative communication and power allocation has attracted much attention among researchers. This paper compares orthogonal multiple access (OMA), non orthogonal multiple access (NOMA), and cooperative NOMA.

Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).

Stochastic String Stability of Vehicle Platoons via Cooperative Adaptive Cruise Control with Lossy Communication [PDF]
This paper is about obtaining stable vehicle platooning by using Cooperative Adaptive Cruise Control when the communication is unreliable and suffers from message losses.

Liquid biopsy epigenetics: establishing a molecular profile based on cell‐free DNA
Cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) fragments in plasma from cancer patients carry epigenetic signatures reflecting their cells of origin. These epigenetic features include DNA methylation, nucleosome modifications, and variations in fragmentation. This review describes the biological properties of each feature and explores optimal strategies for harnessing cfDNA ...

COOPERATION WITHOUT COMMUNICATION [PDF]
Intelligent agents must be able to interact even without the benefit of communication. In this paper we examine various constraints on the actions of agents in such situations and discuss the effects of these constraints on their derived utility. In particular, we define and analyze basic rationality; we consider various assumptions about independence;
