Membrane Wrapping for High Capacity and Rapidly Switchable Adhesives

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A membrane‐wrapping mechanism enables high‐capacity, rapidly switchable adhesion by coupling suction, friction, and adhesion. Broadband performance is achieved in dry and underwater conditions, allowing fast, reversible manipulation of objects of diverse sizes and shapes, from delicate eggs and berries to flat, complex, or heavy objects. These outcomes

Investment Promotive Effects of Mega-FTAs on the Cooperative Game for Eurasia Initiative [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of International Logistics and Trade, 2015
The policy choices of Eurasian states whether to form a coalition along with the “Eurasia Initiative” can be explained by the cooperative game theory. While the each bilateral relationship before making a binding agreement seems to be a non-cooperative ...

Active Learning‐Guided Accelerated Discovery of Ultra‐Efficient High‐Entropy Thermoelectrics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
An active learning framework is introduced for the accelerated discovery of high‐entropy chalcogenides with superior thermoelectric performance. Only 80 targeted syntheses, selected from 16206 possible combinations, led to three high‐performance compositions, demonstrating the remarkable efficiency of data‐driven guidance in experimental materials ...

Dynamic, Reconfigurable, and Hierarchical Biosynthetic Composites via Collagen Self‐Assembly within Highly Crowded Microgel Pastes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A new approach to extracellular matrix‐mimetic, hierarchical biomaterials is presented. Soft gels composed of overpacked hydrogel microparticle arrays present a biomolecularly crowded environment permissive to the self‐assembly of collagen networks.

Non-centralized Control for Flow-based Distribution Networks: A Game-theoretical Insight [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
This paper solves a data-driven control problem for a flow-based distribution network with two objectives: a resource allocation and a fair distribution of costs. These objectives represent both cooperation and competition directions.

Advances in Safe, Flexible, and Stretchable Batteries for Wearable Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Unlike previous reviews centered on component‐based deformability, this work highlights safety‐driven design strategies for flexible and stretchable batteries. By integrating material‐level engineering, geometry‐controlled structures, biocompatibility, and self‐protection mechanisms, it establishes a unified framework that connects mechanical ...

Information Transmission Strategies for Self‐Organized Robotic Aggregation

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
In this review, we discuss how information transmission influences the neighbor‐based self‐organized aggregation of swarm robots. We focus specifically on local interactions regarding information transfer and categorize previous studies based on the functions of the information exchanged.

Targeted Inhibition of CD74+ Macrophages by Luteolin via CEBPB/P65 Signaling Ameliorates Osteoarthritis Progression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies CD74⁺ macrophages as key drivers of synovial inflammation in osteoarthritis (OA). The flavonoid luteolin is predicted to inhibit this pathway by blocking Nuclear Factor Kappa‐light‐chain‐enhancer of Activated B cells (NF‐κB) signaling. To enhance delivery, a targeted nanoplatform (MDSPL) is developed.
