Cooperative Spectrum Sensing with Feedback

2009 5th International Conference on Wireless Communications, Networking and Mobile Computing, 2009
One of the main objective of spectrum sensing is to detect spectrum opportunity quickly and accurately. Both of the two aspects can be improved by hardware upgrading and software optimization. In this paper, we concentrate on sensing accuracy, which, differs from previous solutions, will be enhanced by modification of network topology.

Cooperative Fusion rules in Spectrum Sensing

2021 International Conference on Advance Computing and Innovative Technologies in Engineering (ICACITE), 2021
Cognitive radio networks (CRNs) uses Spectrum sensing(SS) for assessment the vacant spectrum in the licensed band .Cooperative spectrum sensing(CSS) is the best method for evaluation of white space when multiple secondary user work in the collaboration .All local node scan the licensed band give their decision to central fusion center.

Cooperative spectrum sensing with Slepian-Wolf coded cooperations

2012 IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC), 2012
A new Slepian-Wolf coded cooperation scheme is proposed for a cognitive radio network with two secondary users (SUs) performing cooperative spectrum sensing through a fusion center (FC). The SUs sense the spectrum by measuring the energy statistics of the received signals.

Relay-Based Cooperative Spectrum Sensing

2018
In this chapter, the detection accuracy of an AF relay-based CSS approach over non-identical Nakagami-m fading channel is investigated. New exact and approximated closed-form expressions are derived for the average detection probability and the average false alarm probability over two diversity combining techniques: MRC scheme and SC scheme.

Deep Cooperative Sensing: Cooperative Spectrum Sensing Based on Convolutional Neural Networks

IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, 2019
In this paper, we investigate cooperative spectrum sensing (CSS) in a cognitive radio network (CRN) where multiple secondary users (SUs) cooperate in order to detect a primary user, which possibly occupies multiple bands simultaneously. Deep cooperative sensing (DCS), which constitutes the first CSS framework based on a convolutional neural network ...

Cooperative spectrum sensing based on the compressed sensing

2015 IEEE 14th International Conference on Cognitive Informatics & Cognitive Computing (ICCI*CC), 2015
In this paper, compressed sensing is applied to cooperative spectrum sensing to reduce the number of fused data. As the modification of OR fusion, DOR fusion is proposed as merger method to deal with information from different cognitive users. And then we analyze the relationship of detection performance and the number of users.

Cooperative Spectrum Sensing for Geo-Location Databases

2012
Spectrum sensing techniques are the key components for identifying and exploiting unused radio spectrum resources in the perspective of the cognitive radio paradigm. Based on the centralized cooperative sensing techniques, vast generalized databases named geo-location databases (GL-DB) can be deployed in order to centralize sensing and general radio ...

Coalition Formation and Spectrum Sharing of Cooperative Spectrum Sensing Participants

IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics, 2017
In cognitive radio networks, self-interested secondary users (SUs) desire to maximize their own throughput. They compete with each other for transmit time once the absence of primary users (PUs) is detected. To satisfy the requirement of PU protection, on the other hand, they have to form some coalitions and cooperate to conduct spectrum sensing.

Bandwidth-Efficient Cooperative Spectrum Sensing

2012
Cooperative spectrum sensing can achieve better detection performance by enabling Cognitive Radio (CR) users to report local sensing information for further combining. In the initial setup phase that the CR users are performing spectrum sensing, idle communication channels without the licensed user signal have not been well identified and the reporting
